I posted this on MarioBoards a couple days ago. Basically, I'm working on a Mario & Luigi fangame. It is not very far into development, but I'd like to give you guys a taste of it and see how you like it.
I'm open for ideas, and if anyone is interested in helping me create this I'd like that also. I will credit anyone who helps, of course. (On a related note after the game is finished I would like to find someone to make an epic credits remix of the tracks I used in the game)
I would like to incorporate some of your ideas into this game, and I realize the beginning of this is kinda bad. Just the whole "peace with the villains" thing, I'll admit I kinda rushed that idea. But yeah, the gist of the current story is that Peach invited a few of the villains to the castle to negotiate peace. After a minor incident involving Wario and cake, a shadowy character called "Dark Mario" appears and sends everyone except Mario and Luigi to "wander the dimensions forever." Mario and Luigi must follow the dark figure and find a dimensional portal, using it to travel the dimensions and save everyone, and defeat Dark Mario and his unseen "master."

So this is where you have been? I was wondering. Hopefully this game can grow into something nice. I don't usually find too many fan games that finish.

I'm downloading it now. From what we know of the story so far, it does seem pretty interesting. Seeing how there's a heavy emphasis on dimensional travel, plus the whole "cursed to wander through dimensions" thing (which happened to Tippi/Timpani in Super Paper Mario), I'd put money on the fact that Dimentio is the "unseen master" behind everything. On the other hand, Antasma is also capable of creating Dark Mario clones, but I'm still leaning towards the former.

Thanks for the feedback! I can confirm that both Dimentio and Antasma will make an appearance in this game, but I will not say their roles. Mainly because aside from spoilers, it's also not really written in stone yet, as I may take some of your ideas and work them into this game.
On a related note, I have a bit of a handicap on scenes that Dark Mario appears in; because the only walking sprites of him I could find are left and right. So if anyone can find forward/backward walking sprites that are similar in appearance to the one I'm using that would be appreciated.
Cutscenes and bosses seem to give me the most trouble while making this: cutscenes because the overworld is covered by the window where I set how many spaces for a character to walk, making it largely trial-and-error. Bosses (and regular enemies for that matter) mainly because determining their difficulty/stats involves math, which I suck badly at.
But I'm trying to work as fast as I can, it may be a while but I hope to get this done. Mario Kart 8 on the 30th may slow me down, however

I'd appreciate that. All I need are forward walking and backward walking sprites, since right now if I absolutely had to make him walk forward/backward I would have to make him do a spin attack in that direction. Try to make it as similar to the existing Dark Mario sprites as possible (They can be found in the filesystem under Graphics/Characters.)

I'm a little late on this, but the walking Dark Mario sheet is finally done.
I would have been done with this sooner, but recoloring sprites is a lot harder than most people give it credit for, especially in MS Paint. It doesn't exactly help that there was such a limited palette to use. Are these good enough?

Thanks, but I'm not much of a sprite artist at all. While recoloring does take some time, that's about all I know how to do, besides other minor edits.
