I mean, at first I didn't care. In fact, it was kinda funny how he reacted.
Then I noticed he was getting gradually dumber. I was fucking this guy up just because I need Bumps.
Then he stopped appearing at all, making me think I killed him. Not even quickly, like the number of Goombas and Koopas whom I was actually justified in killing. This poor guy suffered just for wanting to come up for some sunlight.
Mario is a monster.
I am a monster.
oh reality, it's not for me and it makes me laugh oh, fantasy world and disney girls i'm coming back
Not only that, but he was the last if his kind too, at least in SPM where it was implied that the Game Corner in Flipside led to their extinction. Dark stuff. He was so happy to about the sun and the weather, and then we screwed him up.
Then you never got to see his psychological suffering was much worse than his physical suffering. He even started to question his existence towards the end. It was crazy, for a Mario game. You need to try it out. You even scar a little guy who befriended him in SPM when she realizes he is gone.
Kirby and Paper Mario, cute and deadly. Epic Yarn Kirby was the most monstrous, after all. The cute ones are always the worst. Take Mimi for example from SPM. Man, she was plain Nightmare Fuel.
I'm just shocked the creators included Wacka. I remember my partners on Keyhaul Key were disgusted with me. Goombella even tattles that she hopes we would never hurt such a creature.
Progress! Now we need some more animal buddies, the Kremlings, and the Kongs.
I would love to find an underground town of Whackas. That would be a cool chapter story line with the Whackas afraid of the surface and living in their own way under the ground.

I think it's less a purge, it's more like a standarization (basically all mario games must ressemble NSMB series & mainstream games rather than having their own interpretations of the mario series like how the RPG were doing it)
It's too bad too, because I loved all the new styles on the GameCube. Zelda had different styles, and Metroid, and Mario. Now things look too similar. Kirby remains the one series to always change up the formula.
Rogureport was a weird way to interpret Mario characters, but I loved it. GTA meets Mario.
Whacka could have been in Sticker Star though since he is just a species, but I guess even that was too original. He could have been friends with Wiggler, or appeared in the Jungle area.

Same. Another thing I hate is...how Nintendo sometimes lets some franchises/games stay in obscurity -.-. WE HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL Well FE has gone pretty srong and Kid Icarus Uprising happened so some good stuff. And Splattoon is coming
Also Rain your Whacka city idea was great...maybe the Whackas hate outsiders becuase they are afraid of them
Great idea, they could tell Mario (ironic) of how people threaten their population and they are afraid of the outside would because of the treatment of Whackas the world over. It would be a nice story. At the end they could learn to trust and Mario could lead them above ground.
