I loved SSX Tricky! I used Mac and Kaori all the time! I had it on PS2. ^_^
Good luck in high school. Do not get too stressed. I already have a 20 page paper to write and 4 5-7 page papers as well. My first day was only yesterday. College will send me to an early grave.
Wind Waker - This game is beautiful. The atmosphere was great, and I loved travelling the seas unlike some stubborn losahs. There's a lot of secrets I haven't found after the almost-13-years I had that wonderful thing. Probably my most favorite game ever. Might just be my nostalgia though... heh.
Mother 3 - Might tie with Wind Waker for favorite, and this time I have no nostalgic attachment so of course it's good. This is probably the most original game I've ever seen. When you think villains, you don't think of overwieght pig-masked soilders, combined animals with odd results, a peddler who tortures a monkey and wears horns, and a fat kid who's apparently 1,000+ years old. Super original. I have NO issues with this game, I don't care if it was Japan exclusive. Also Lucas is cuter than Kirby and my favorite video game character. Yep I said it. :3
P.S. Mr. T saves your life in this game.
Metroid Prime Trilogy - Hands down the best collection of games ever. Primes 1, 2, and 3 all for 20 dollars? HECK YES! They're all VERY good games. Retro really outdid themselves. And there's no time limit to get the best ending or anything, you can take your time to explore and collect all you need and get 100%. Prime 1 or 2 is probably my favorite, Prime 3 was outstanding as well though.
I will say my favorite from each franchise that In into.
Kirby's Return to Dreamland - So much fun with others. The story was well done, weird consider Story isn't important in Kirby.
Starfox 64 - Love this game and the amount meme and other joke this game created is a lovely bonus. The game was pretty easy with te exception of the Wolfen fights. Everything else was pretty good.
Major's Mask - IMO the best story of the series and love how real the world feel, it's just right for a Zelda game.
Final Fantasy 2 - Unique Gameplay while a bit meh system. Love the story and the villain. The character are also meh. I may not be much but I think it worked a lot better then most within the series.
Soinc 1 (Game Gear ver.) - My first Sonic game and it just felt great! I have issue with most of the games but this one has awesome music and great Controls. The bosses had trial and Error but I felt it still hold a good amount of challenge.
Okami - just a beautiful game all round, except for drawing circles. The Shock and joy I felt during the Final boss was just great.
Donkey Kong 64 - This one big and adventurous, K. Rool was challenging and love the Humor in it.
Banjo-Kazooi - BT had some issue that put it lower then this. BK is amazing game it one of the feel game I got out of pure sight (Weird kinda). While BT had better bosses I think the worlds and mini-game were funner. However...The musical Notes are a pain in this game (Especially in Rusty Bucket Bay).
Breath of Fire 1 - I have not played the game past 2 (No PS) but I do like the games. I think BoF1 had better pacing and feel it was better quality all around (Not saying the BoF2 suck but could have done better in areas).
Megaman X 1 - I just fine it the fairer of of the first three I've played and beat. I only had trouble with Lunch Octopus but other wise was a great experience for me.
Metroid Prime 2 - kind alike SPM and MM I love he darker feeling and the Ing were quite Monstrous. It a bit of pain the lost abilities but the boss battle are so grand (Quadtraxis is my favorite Metroid boss)!
Mother 3 - Such a emotional game and love it every stepped of the way. Nothing further.
Pokemon Platinum - I think it just a perfect region, not too much water, the interaction is fine, and the villain were honestly evil in what they *Hcehm* He wanted. Nice selection of Pokemon too.
Rayman 2 - One of my earlier game for the N64 it a fun a bit darker then the other but I thought it was fun and enjoyable. Funny story I didn't have a extension pack for it so I played it over and over til I beat the whole game in one go.
Chrono Trigger - It's kinda the only one of the Chrono series I have played but it at least a great game while a little complex it works well.
Cave Story - I haven't played too many Indies games but out of them this one was a fun game while a pretty frustration in that last area but all round good game decent story and cool bosses.
As on the subject of first games, my first Handheld was Pokemon Blue on the original Gameboy. My first console was Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo my very first game. Took me forever to get all the way to World 8-4 (No wrap pipes) and beat Bowser for the first time.
Would rather go to Waffle Kingdom than this Mushroom crap.

Whoo, another Rayman fan! Yeah, my favorite game in that series is actually Rayman Legends. I'm still hoping for a day when we'll have a multiplayer 3D Rayman platformer, though!

You're on my cool dudes list
I agree that Prime 2 was great for being one of the darker Metroids, even though Metroid itself is a rather dark and serious series especially for Nintendo's games usually being light-hearted. Prime 2 is so underrated and gets hate for having so called 'generic' light and dark mechanics, even though this game has used them in a way I've never seen before.
I have yet to played the newer Rayman games kind of went away after playing the first Rayman Rabit's games. Fun for party base but not a good Rayman imo. Rayman 2 and 3 are the main one I enjoy while 1 was pretty cool but a bit odd going to it after 3.
Yeah not many seem to like Metroid 2 beside the bosses anyway. Beside the Spider and Booost Guardians, most of the bosses felt fair. Like SS I'm good at madiging my Ammo's and I do like some of ten creative way some of puzzles worked. Sure it's not as grand as Tollen IV but It had that survival feel that I think the other Metroid games lack (Except Fusion).

I really think you should try Rayman Origins (on Wii) and Rayman Legends (on Wii U), they're a return to form. Amazing games, and they have nothing to do with the Raving Rabbids and the previous party games like that.
Yeah I've seen bit and pieces and looks fun. I just lack the funds to get everything I want and there are a lot of game I still haven't played that look great!
