I knew some of DT's complains were that the game was too long but they didn't have to make the sequel this short
Also who need collision detection ?
But man this game look more and more like it was hastily put together by the developpers without them really testing the whole thing, shame on you AlphaDream, shame on you

Yeah, it's pretty clear the game was rushed. That seems to be a problem with modern Nintendo to be honest. They've lost sight of the old saying that a 'delayed game might be good, but a bad game is bad forever'.

I'm having far too much fun with random bugs in this game. Like this amusing but minor fence clip:
Really_Tall found it originally, but damn. That's just depressing. I mean, its a fence. How do you screw up the collision detection for a simple fence?
I also love this Trio Drill bug:
I don't even know how that happens. Again, Really_Tall found it, but come on. Apparently, this one piece of dirt has such bad collision detection that hitting it at a slightly higher speed sends Mario and co straight through the floor. At which point they can fly around and...
At this rate, I'll be surprised if we can find a single room without at least one bug in it. And not the Ant Trooper kind...

I just picked a random wall while looking for bugs, and strolled right through it. It's useless (you are only able to do this if you've already got to the end of this area), but jeez. Apparently EVERY wall that looks like this can be walked through. Like, every single one.
God, if there was a glitch counter for this game it would probably explode by the midway part. A glitches drinking game for Mario & Luigi Paper Jam would probably be lethal.
Found four glitches to walk through walls in a single day now. This is getting ridiculous.
Found above two in literally ten minutes. It's like every single goddamned wall in this game is partially non solid.
And yes, if you're wondering... these do work if you've got the full party with you. Every clipping/out of bounds glitch does, it just gets easier or harder based on who's with you and what their abilities are:
Paper Mario on his own: Easy Full Trio with Trio Grab: Fairly Easy Mario & Luigi on their own: Normal Mario & Luigi (losing Paper Mario): Quite Hard All three (no Trio Grab): Hard
Oh, and that second video? That's the THIRD out of bounds glitch in that SAME room. You can fall through the fence and out of bounds, go out of bounds across the river (apparently difficult) or go through the wall as in the video.

Make me still wonder when will the update come with all those glitches...(watch as such update will somehow manage to break the game even further )
I'm somewhat suspecting never, since fixing the crashes and other issues is a significant undertaking that Nintendo would probably hate doing.
There's also the issue that fixing the wall bugs would cause a lot of problems for anyone who already used them in a run of the game. You'd basically make a lot of save files unwinnable. Or maybe worse, if you fix somehow causes unstability in an already glitched file. At least Dream Team's bugs were literally all bad things that had no real redeeming qualities (game freezes and crashes, save corruption, the infamous gyro controls bug that may or may not have ever been fixed...)
And hey, it was clearly a rushed game, not sure they'd bother updating it. You might as well hope for updates and fixes for Mario Tennis Ultra Smash or Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, which are both likely being quickly swept under the rug. Probably better off to make a new Mario & Luigi game than waste weeks trying to fix the Sonic Boom level of glitches in this one.

Kind of like Pokemon Red and Blue and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time really. Both good games, but dear god do they have a lot of cool glitches. Talking of Mario 64, it's hilarious how the DS remake didn't actually make it harder to break, and in fact has just as many fun to use glitches as the Nintendo 64 original. As seen here:
But hey, look on the bright side. It's not the only massively glitchy 3DS game. Just the easiest one to sequence break, since its main competition (Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon) is entirely linear and mission based.

Note the location. Both walls are apparently made of thin air, and they're seperated by just six feet or so of open space. Someone really screwed up the collision detection in this area...

Quick question; when was the last RPG you could beat in about an hour? Or even less?
Quite many indie rpgs are that long
Out of games that are supposed to be 20 or more hours long, how many of those can you beat in about an hour? Short RPGs exist, but the situation here is closer to beating an hour long RPG in three minutes.

And because the humiliation conga keeps on going for this game, yet another way out of bounds:
The same person found a second place this is possible too, in the same room. But it's a very hard glitch to pull off.
On a more minor note, five very small bugs the game somehow also has:
Yeah. It says something when the bloody enemies can appear out of bounds as well as Mario and co! If there's a glitch counter by this point... well, it's likely melted and blown up after the amount of bugs found in the game. I think the true count is about 80-90 by now.

Yeah, it's getting pretty sad now. You'd think after filling up 20 pages of content on Mario Wiki about this game's bugs, we'd be near to exhausting the broken possibilities in this game. Well apparently not.
Maybe I'll get a map showing every room in the game and a counter saying how many times you can go out of bounds there...
