As seen in the game, the literal Crystal Star wasn't always on the moon. Several parts of the backstory heavily lean on it originally hidden in Rogueport Sewers. The question is do you think it was originally hidden in one of the screens Mario and the player could go to, or an unreachable area?
Also, do you think the literal Crystal Star was hidden with the map, or separately?
