I swear, those things ruined boss battles. I mean, boss battles are one of my favourite things in RPGs. I love running into tough enemies and having a fun and challenging time. Hell I even enjoyed Sticker Stars bosses. They weren't TOO focused on the things. But if you don't have the Things here you basically die. And if you do have the things it's boring and overpowered. Sorry for the mini rant but I'm sick of these awful bosses.
Yeah as cool as the bosses were the things make them a bit to easy. Bowser was maybe the only one that require real strategy.
This look like it will fallow through with that idea. Petey? Hit or miss really. Nintendo seem to really like him. I suspect a Blooper, Wiggaluar, Pokey, and a Goomba boss as well.

Well, according to this, you should at least have the bone card when you enter the boss battle (unless you're dumb enough to waste it in the enemy rush just before), plus it's strongly hinted at that it'll be important. That's at least a step up from the Sticker Star bosses that were not only complete guessing games, but you often didn't even have the right answer with you. Then again, maybe not all of the boss battles can be counted on to give you the necessary thing. And even if they all did, you'd think the player would catch on pretty quickly that whatever thing you get before the boss battle is the one you need to win, rendering the whole puzzle aspect they're trying to establish moot.

Been a fan of the Paper Mario series ever since I started playing Super Paper Mario for the Wii... No joke! XD I saw a few ads and commercials about the Paper Mario series. But I didn't start playing them for the story until I played the third game in the series. Ever since then? Many games of 2016 have come and challenge what we consider as story driven games now. UnderTale and recently FNAF's World. I hope that someday I can create my own game based upon the Paper Mario series and pay tribute.
Not sure if that comment was meant to be negative.
Well I can see why the Paper Jokes come from. Does anyone one know the Japan version of SS writing differs. It sounds interesting...Kinda weird they have Huey but just toad/shyguys else where. Doesn't sound Tabata has all that influences on this or SS hmm.

Ya may go back to your rants.
My comment wasn't negative. It was ironic and hypocrisy at its best! She's not even denying it anymore as the interview proves that they don't know what makes a great RPG anymore.
Because Paper Mario is in 3D now.....
Really, sister?

Ah I see. Yeah well at least she honest. I suppose it partly because a lot of people prefer different kinds of RPG so a basic RPG might end up badly market wise as far as they know. Same reason why Square thought turn base RPG's are "Out of style" and think most people won't buy them, despite how glow those ideas are. With this tend it might be a fad in japan after all it them the main focus as we Westerner are more after thought.

I want to like this game, some of it looks really funny but, the battles look so boring.
You know how the special attacks in M&L and Paper Mario had this like feeling of hitting stuff on time and quick? Well lol screw that, let's have the triple jumps have Mario jump off the character's head and back onto the ground each time.
Also, how are people going to cry at the end of this? The only way I could see someone crying is if they actually had character development.

I'm calling it, Huey dies/sacrifices himself.
Sadly true on the last part.

Huh, this seems to be a trend with Nintendo. They give the game to a German LPer and have them make videos of it just prior to release date.
Cause I swear the same thing happened for Mario & Luigi Paper Jam. Then again, I swear they're sending this game out to a lot of YouTubers now. Haedox mentioned playing it recently, and I'm pretty sure he's not the only one.
Seems like they're looking for people even remotely positive about the game and sending it to them, while carefully trying to ignore the harsher critics like the Lonely Goomba, The Bit Block, Arlo and myself.
Wario fan, Mario game modder and interested in every Mario RPG you can imagine!
I also run Wario Forums, which is a place to discuss the Wario Land and WarioWare franchises.

Don't this mean that at least one part of Nintendo is aware of the problem ?

Yup. They haven't forgotten SPM. And having another pixel world is nice. Though I would've been excited about the flip ability regardless of the art style of the area. I wonder if the pixel goomba can be fought.

I think it's mostly people who have over 9000 subs and viewers. lol
I have only zero subs and if Nintendo gave me their game. It would not make as much views as they would think it should? :/

Between the shallow meme-filled writing, the generic non-story, and now this, I'm starting to feel sick to my stomach.
Meme-filled writing???
Sherk is love, Sherk is life! lol

Not quite:
3,500 or so subscribers. Yet someone, has this game.
Meanwhile, Arlo has 45,000 subscribers, Lonely Goomba has 126,000 subscribers and The Bit Block has 135,000 subscribers. Bit of picking and choosing going on here, especially in favour of yes men.
