I want something new. Hopefully something not too hard, but not too easy. I really like postgame content, so hopefully they give us something good. X was lacking in that when Gen 6 was introduced.
Popplio would still have that advantage if Rowlet stays grass/flying. However, grass does hurt water so I am guessing Popplio is slower and more vulnerable to a first strike hitting him, which would hurt. Hopefully he does not becomes water/ground. Then he would have a 4x weakness.
A rival like N would be nice imo. I loved that story. I think I will choose between Poplio and Litten. The evolutions will decide my choice . I hope Litten will be a badass tiger. Poplio has potential too. I like Rowlett too, but its not my favorite type. I will join team sun. I hope you have a option for the difficulty of Pokemon battles. I like intense tough battles( also with the Mario rpg's), imo Gen 6 was too easy. Tomorrow we will hopefully get a bit more news.
I'm getting Popplio. I hope he becomes something other than pure Water typing. Although, I will also have to choose based off of evolutions. I want Litten to become a tiger too. He is similar to Litleo for now, however.
I cannot remember the last hard gym battle. Alpha Sapphire was slightly harder than X for me, but I wish each gym had a minimum of 3 Pokemon. I would live more mixed gyms, or full battle gyms.
I dont like the Litten design for now.But it has the most potential for me. I hope the poplio evolution will be unique, not like dewgong or walrein. Hopefully we will get a gym battle like Whitney with her Miltank. Gym leaders with a typical strategy which is difficult to beat. Maybe they make a Pokemon sun and moon guide because of the difficulty of the trainers. I would love that. And I am hoping for a battle frontier like emerald or a champions league with all the champions and trainers like N, Red. Then it all comes together
I am hoping Popplio does not become a tanky Water like Walrein. Litten might be like Infernape and be fragile, however. I am hoping that Popplio gets some moves too, not just the usual water, ice, and grass knot. We shall see.
I thought Whitney was easy and Norman with his two Slaking was much harder for me. Then again, rollout is nothing for Sceptile! ^_^
I want a Battle Maison too so we can have Triple Battles. Those are my favorite.
I think the Poplio evolutions wont be tanky, because of the high speed Poplio will have. Yeah Norman was also pretty tough. I will at least have 3 tough gym battles, a difficult evil team leader and a tough rival.
Category: Sunne Pokémon Height: 11’2″ Weight: 507.1 lbs Type: Psychic/Steel Ability: Full Metal Body
Since ancient times, Solgaleo has been honored as an emissary of the sun. It is referred to with reverence as “the beast that devours the sun.” Solgaleo’s body holds a vast amount of energy, and it shines with light when it’s active. It has a flowing mane with a remarkable resemblance to the sun. Its signature move is Sunsteel Strike, an attack that charges at an opponent with the force of a meteor, disregarding the target’s Ability.
Solgaleo’s Ability is Full Metal Body, a new Ability that no previous Pokémon has had. With the Full Metal Body Ability, a Pokémon’s stats will not be lowered by the effects of an opponent’s moves or Ability.
Since ancient times, Lunala has been honored as an emissary of the moon. It is referred to with reverence as “the beast that calls the moon.” Lunala is constantly absorbing light and converting it into energy. With its wings spread to absorb the surrounding light and glittering like a crescent moon, it resembles a beautiful night sky. Lunala’s signature Moongeist Beam attack releases an ominous beam of light that disregards the target’s Ability.
Lunala’s Ability is Shadow Shield, a new Ability that no previous Pokémon has had. With the Shadow Shield Ability, a Pokémon will take less damage from an attack that lands when the Pokémon has full HP.
Yes there is also a video with some more footage of the alola region and we see the attacks/abilities/types. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon take place in the Alola region, which centers around four tropical islands and one artificial island. Many Pokémon that have never been seen before inhabit the lush islands of the Alola region. The story begins right after the main character moves to the Alola region. After choosing to play as a hero or heroine, players can customize their character’s name and appearance. No sooner have they arrived than their adventures begin to unfold, and they meet many fascinating people as they travel through the region.
Professor Kukui is the Alola region’s Pokémon professor. The professor is passionate about his research into Pokémon moves and has sometimes taken direct hits from Pokémon if there was something to be learned from it. Sporting a white lab coat, Professor Kukui has his own unique style.
Lillie is a mysterious girl who assists the professor. This young girl is about the same age as the player’s character and is Professor Kukui’s assistant. She’s not fond of making Pokémon fight in battles, but she loves reading and has read a great number of books. Lillie will play an important role in the story of Pokémon Sun andPokémon Moon.
Hau is a Pokémon-loving young boy with a big appetite. He is the same age as the player’s character. Hau becomes one of the main character’s first friends. He has a real weakness for malasadas, a famous treat in the Alola region, and is always in search of malasada shops. Hau is a big-hearted boy who really loves Pokémon.
The Pokédex is a convenient tool that records information about the Pokémon that players see and catch during their adventure. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Professor Kukui provides a special Pokédex known as the Rotom Pokédex. It is inhabited by Rotom, a Pokémon with the power to reside in various electronic appliances. The Rotom Pokédex does much more than record Pokémon info—it has its own personality. Besides showing the player’s current location and their next destination, the Rotom Pokédex also provides advice on where to go next, based on the conversations players have with other characters.
In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, a QR Scanner function allows players to see information about Pokémon when they scan QR Code patterns. By scanning in special QR Code patterns, fans can register Pokémon of the Alola region to their Pokédex and find out where they live. If they scan in the QR Code for a Pokémon that they haven’t yet caught, players can check its habitat and search it out.
A new trailer that showcases the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala and new gameplay in action can be found here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW14HO7C1Dg.
Sounds like there might be "too much water" in this game! Remember when the reviewers complained about that in Alpha Sapphire? I love the tropical island theme. Sounds like Popplio may be super helpful for surfing around.
Sounds like some great stuff. Pretty standard info so far, but that means that we get all the awesome details in the next update.
Solgaleo makes the ability Clear Body outdated, basically.
Yeah Lunala will be able to use moonlight I guess. The Alola region map shows a boat in the middle, so I guess the too much surfing part is solved, it still has a lot of water indeed! It looks amazing! We will see some more gameplay during E3 is now confirmed according to mynintendonews. We don't have to wait much longer for new pokemon sun and moon news. CoroCoro also comes out over two weeks , maybe they have some new info as well. Last time there was a new dog-like pokemon in their video.

It's weird Solgaleo is weak to fire... When I saw this I thought Magearna could have something to do with those two pokemon, because of the mechanical part. Solgaleo looks mechanical, Lunala not so its not a very strong theory I dont like magearna from what I saw, maybe that will change after the movie. I like the region too, it seems like every island has his own kind of environment. Avatar in Pokemon confirmed
I wish they would at least cut out the fire weakness. He represents the sun, for crying our loud!
Poketar? Avamon?
My team already had so many Psychics in Alpha Sapphire, and so many Legendaries have that typing. I wanted a Fairy/Dragon for this game, so hopefully we still get one in the game.
Mega forms need to be revealed. I want to see some new ones. I am guessing these trainers learn how to sue them at some point in the story.
Pokestar sounds better Maybe Solgaleo will learn a move like magnet rise but then for fire. Fairy/dragon type would be nice, maybe the pseudo legendary will have that type or other legendaries. Which mega's do you hope for? Do you think it will be mega evolution or something like synergy evolution( Pokken) or burstevolution ( pokemon manga) so we can have our own Ash-Greninja form but with our favorite pokemon? That would be nice! It would be nice if every gym leader or a couple of them has a pokemon who can mega evolve, in Pokemon X and Y it was only the champion, Serena and Lysandre who had mega's.

I've read more then enough theories on Fusion and it sound like a nightmare to put into a game. Hard to pick now both legends have something good going for them. Look interesting so far can't wait for more.
A rival champion would be awesome! I think its still possible team Flare will be involved again, but that will maybe happen in the post-game with the perfect Zygarde form. I guess it will be a team that has something to do with light, because both Pokemon has something to do with light. Solgaleo admids light and Lunala absorbs light. I dont know a name for the team(s). Your guess could be true. Hopefully the team(s) are up to something huge with a great story and tough battles.
Did you guys see their signatures moves? Solgaleo (basically gallant sun lion) had Sunsteel Strike. Lunala has Moongeist Beam, which we know is super effective against Gengar so it is likely ghost. A ghost special move is cool, but would not be super effective against many types. Mainly ghosts.
Yeah they both look awesome Not sure on Solgakeo typing but GF must have some ideas to throw at us.
Dies no one think that the new Pokedex might be more then just that. I'm interested in how it will play in the games. There not a whole lot to discuss outside of Legeds potentials.
Solgaleo is Psychic/Steel so I expect some good defenses, but I psychic suggests special attack while steel suggests physical attack. Maybe a mixed sweeper type.
Apparently Rotom is in the Pokedex now. Like, he is actually it. I wonder if they keep the flying mechanic found in Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby where you fly on Latias/Latios or maybe some other Pokemon.
Sol will be Physical while Luna will me Special. Nothing special there, GF like to do that with their main Legendaries. As in either making on physical and the other special or make on defensive and other other Offensive.
Psychic is mostly a special type, but he kind of reminds me of Gallade by being physical. Psycho Cut could also be a good move to have. They really need to add some more moves.
Same with Ghost. We need some physical moves for that typing that are not completely outclassed later.
I love soaring. Flying around is fun and I hope they make a surfing version of it some day.
Thanks! ^_^ Lunala is probably based off a vampire ( oops did I say that!!). I am curious about the theory behind it. Maybe he/she is a evil bat king who loves to create nightmares... We don't have to wait long for new news, so maybe we will know more from the evil team during E3
The legendaries of X and Y are also based off mythologie. That had something to do with Loki or something. The perfect Zygarde form etc. has all to do with that theory.
I don't know but now there is a theory that Lilly ( mysterious assistant) is maybe Lysandre's daughter or something. There could be a link to X and Y. The ultimate weapon from that game had the shape of a Lilly flower. Some guy on youtube made a theory about this I could see Lilly will be the new N or something and she has something to do with the new evil team, because she will have a important role in the story.
There is so much we don't know, but with the information we have now, I am so hyped! Pokemon Sun and Moon will be a good game.
