What change in the remake do you find unnecessary?

That, and forcing all the Toads to have the same body shape and face. Replacing Psycho Kamek with Dr. Toadley was also unnecessary, especially since now Toadley's original game is getting a remake so trying to fit him into Superstar Saga is even more unnecessary. But at least it was still a M&L character (and in including him, there was now at least one unique Toad besides Toadsworth so that's nice, I'd have made him the Toad doctor in the embassy though)

There was no excuse for the NPC Toads to be all regular and for Mechakoopas to replace Mecha Chomps though (especially when Mechakoopas were in the original game as the Bowser's Castle counterpart to those electric mice things for water puzzles)
