Hi there! I'm BoredRabbit, an artist who has an passion on character design! Since Dream Team was my first Mario & Luigi game, I had these Mario & Luigi RPG ideas that are wacky and silly to pull off when I wanted to intimate the Mario & Luigi art style by passion as they're one of my favorite art styles. Since this is going to be my first post on the Mario Boards, here are some box art gimmicks I did. While the forums is super dead or not as usually active, I thought of joining here to post something.
Basically, the standard Mario & Luigi Japanese Box Art but with crossovers of franchises that's either unexpected or just random. With that out of the way, let's start from the beginning!
Since the way how the threads are going to be in this site here, due to the attachment limit to 1mb, I'll try to squeeze the limit to either be a jpg or make the quality lower since as they were made in an limited canvas space. You can check the thread here at the Mario Boards since it's less limited.
Mario & Luigi: A Grand Day Out

At the time at Twitter, I started drawing a lot Mario & Luigi stylized artwork of people's ocs due to me wanting to try something unique. That goes along with wanting to do the Dream Team style.
But okay, let's focus onto the topic. The Mario & Luigi cover art crossovers began when I wanted to just draw Wallace & Gromit into the style. Just then my brain started to realized that I haven't done it's cover art (the trope where it's a blank white background where Mario stands there with Luigi on the logo noticing his surroundings on what he sees with the premise title of it). Inspiration came around when artists like Zieghost (with his Cosmic Chaos concept) and NeoGandWatch (with 3 fan made Mario & Luigi cover arts with the cast) caught my attention to do the cover arts, but when it comes to doing a fan concept, it was pretty hard from the start. That's where I started to brainstorm of an cover art parody, until the first thing that caught my mind was Wallace & Gromit. It was funny at first because I've seen enough Wallace & Gromit memes or people talking about it at the time, so that's where the cover art crossover idea came up.
I was thinking to myself that there's no way in hell would this blew up since I'm not really recognizable around Twitter nor DeviantArt (but that's another story to tell on the boards.) due to me being an underrated artist. Just as I posted the cover art on both sites, the original Tweet blew up and I remembered last time it was around 700 likes and 100 rts on Twitter, but then someone who keeps Qrting the original tweet keep the likes going to 1k. For DeviantArt's case, around 400 Favs since I didn't knew alot of artists and fellow deviants started to love the Mario & Luigi x Wallace & Gromit crossover alot.
That was where I was like "Okay, you guys seem to love the Wallace & Gromit one alot. But don't worry, I'll keep making more of those Mario & Luigi crossovers as it depends on my creativity." That's where I started to write on my notes to pick which ones I figure out when coming up with those Mario & Luigi cover art crossovers.
Fun Fact: If you go to DeviantArt and search "Wallace and Gromit" (and putting the filter to 'popular') just to look at fan art of the British duo, you'll
stumble across that "Mario & Luigi: A Grand Day Out" crossover fanart that is on top, out of any Wallace & Gromit fan art out there. A Mutual who approached me did told me about it and wasn't kidding when I searched it to see if my drawing was on top and it was. I guess it's rare to see you're fan art gets to be onto the top results in the search page.
Mario & Luigi: Richtofen's Grand Scheme

After Wallace & Gromit and since tons of people have started to love it a lot, I started to brainstorm to do what's next. I had many ideas until I thought of Call of Duty Zombies, after seeing the Aether Story end whem Tag Der Toten's Main Easter Egg was found. Yeah, it was mixed by Fans due to how BO4 was treated, the cutescnes budget being slideshows, and how fans calls it the worst ending ever, but I don't care what the fans say. I'm happy to see the Aether story end, but sad to see the Aether crew end what they went through.
I won't spoil it since the Aether story is complex, but you can search a YouTube video of an COD Zombies fan explain the Aether Story in an hour. So going to thise Mario & Luigi crossover, I never thought of Ultimis Richtofen being part of this. Mainly because he's egotistical and the idea of him being with the Mario Bros. is funny at first but just too random. Like how would the Bros not fall for Richtofen's plans when he's onto a quest with the rest of Ultimis to stop Samantha from controlling the Zombies just to get rid of Richtofen.
It's funny because there are Mario themed custom zombies maps that are avaible on BO3's workshop with tons of custom zombies stuff on there.
