Next up on the "to-do" list of ported GameFAQs topics? A re-imagining of the actual Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Posted in 2014, this topic took the StSt setting and gameplay...then proceeded to massively overhaul and tweak it.
Because this is based on a pre-existing game, DO NOT READ THIS TOPIC UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE CREDITS OF THE ACTUAL STICKER STAR.
While there's no new material for the Mario RPG Universe version of this topic, there is one new feature that I hope realizes what people wanted to see...
That's right- this version of the topic will have altered images, in vein to the Paper Jam recut topic I eventually did on GameFAQs. Hopefully, these images will find themselves more memorable than what the official game conveyed.
However, these images take some time to make. Therefore, there may be periods of waiting.
Like the Relic Hunter topic, here's a visual guide for some of the new characters. You can also see some redesigns of existing StSt characters here, major and minor.

I, TyrorexDMZ (aka "DMZapp"), PERMANENTLY & IRREVOCABLY GIVE UP ANY & ALL LEGAL RIGHTS TO Nintendo Co. Japan AND SUBSIDIARIES IT WISHES TO BEQUEATH THESE RIGHTS TO REGARDING MY IDEAS FOR A STICKER STAR REMAKE, AS WELL AS ANY FURTHER POST I PERSONALLY MAKE IN THIS TOPIC. ALL LOOPHOLES WHICH COULD ALLOW ME TO CIRCUMVENT MY OWN WORDS ARE ALSO CLOSED.
As many people know, woodchucks couldn't chuck wood.
As many people also know, Paper Mario Sticker Star had a polarizing reception. Some opened their hearts and wallets to the changes, while others didn't. I was one who grew to dislike the game.
Not that I had bad reasons. On the contrary, I believe this game is a huge step backwards not just for the Paper Mario series, but Nintendo and Intelligent Systems as well, in how utterly stupid/careless many of the design decisions were.
Years ago, I made a topic for a Sticker Star sequel entitled "Relic Hunter" which fixed every problem Sticker Star had in some way. Eventually, I wondered what it would be like to pull the same thing off with the actual Sticker Star. Hence, the creation of this topic.
Keep in mind this is only my take on it, as others have had their ideas on how to fix Sticker Star.
Also, to put certain concerns to rest, I put that disclaimer atop to prevent a Marion Zimmer Bradley situation from happening. It was not due to fear of reprisal or an ego complex the size of 20 suns.
DIFFERENCES FROM ORIGINAL STICKER STAR
Story
-There is an explicit story in every world on top of world 3 and world 6.
-Some of the bosses are talked about earlier than usual.
-After defeating every world boss, a cutscene is shown of Peach painting.
Characters
-Bowser speaks again, and appears more often.
-To prevent diluting the novelty of his recent appearances, Kamek is replaced with Kammy.
-Wiggler is redesigned to individualize him from other Wigglers.
-There are four new partners, on top of Kersti. Kersti is still a secondary permanent partner.
-Kersti goes through much more development and becomes less obnoxious. Her more annoying moments are also toned down.
-Toad isn't the only NPC type. There are also Whittles, Piantas and Nokis.
Overworld Gameplay
-Some Paperization zones have been replaced with obstacles related to using Mario's innate abilities and partner powers.
-The remaining Paperization zones are more lenient in the answers they accept.
-Regardless of the result being right or wrong, Things are no longer lost if used in the Paperization zones remaining.
-There are more clues related to Paperization answers in the relevant levels themselves or Kersti.
-Some of the clues the townsfolk gave, and even some of the townsfolk themselves, are moved into the actual levels.
-A secondary stat called Thing Points is added.
--Using Thing Points, you can use Things in battle without losing them.
-A new stat called Sticker Points is added.
--Using Sticker Points, you can keep your favorite stickers in the album, no matter how many times you use them.
-The overworld is the only way to earn more stickers. The only exceptions are Partner Stickers (spawn in the Album every 2 turns in battle) and the special enemy drop stickers (Shell, Boomerang, Barrel, etc.)
-Every single coin has been removed from the overworld. They are replaced with stickers.
-While Sling-a-Thing is still around, Mario can eventually Paperize Things as soon as he gets them.
-Next to the Sling-a-Thing booth in Decalburg is a "Boss Re-enactment Stage" for boss rematches.
-Except for Megaflash, higher ranking stickers than normal will not show up in shops, in the overworld, or in battle unless a certain number of coins has been spent at shops. In other words, skip all battles, and you'll notice Worlds 4 and 5 have no Shiny or Flashy stickers to speak of...
Battle Gameplay
-You can attack any single enemy with the first sticker, even if they're not at the front of the pack. Rules regarding air enemies and the hammer still apply, though.
-Mario can now use two stickers whenever he wants. In exchange, the battle roulette is gone.
-Battles are now the only way to earn coins.
Stickers
-Four new stickers have been added, related to Partners.
-Five new healing stickers having been added. Four are related to TP, while one is an alternative HP solution.
