That's very true indeed. We shouldn't expect the next The Last of Us! of RPG games. (That's not what Paper Mario is about for crying out loud! lol) But like Adventure Time before it. There's bond to be secrets and theories about the meaning of the games to characters and crude. (Reasons why I'm a fan of those type of theories that go beyond what the original game was intended to be.)
Been a fan of the Paper Mario series ever since I started playing Super Paper Mario for the Wii... No joke! XD I saw a few ads and commercials about the Paper Mario series. But I didn't start playing them for the story until I played the third game in the series. Ever since then? Many games of 2016 have come and challenge what we consider as story driven games now. UnderTale and recently FNAF's World. I hope that someday I can create my own game based upon the Paper Mario series and pay tribute.

Never said it would kill the Mario RPG, i just fear that Nintendo might be stubborn enough to not care about fan's complains and focus on the supposed silent majority (the Casuals), thus making Sticker Star and Paper Jam the new standard of Mario RPG.
Through i admit, i have still hope they will listen, well at least in AlphaDream's case since they did do an "Ask me anything" Miiting for the fans, so hopefully they'll listen to the questions and complains and fix them later.
I'd rather wait Nintendo to officially announce it, i've seen so many fake leaks that i just can't trust them anymore XP.

Not even from Emily Rogers? lol I understand. You could say the same thing about EA or Konami on how they don't listen to their fans like Nintendo does? But this is the Internet, my friend? One screwed up and your dead? XD (Look what happened to Capcom?) They've recently changed their become of the bad things they did to their own franchises. (Like Mega Man and more.) Even EA is not immune to this and because they appeared in the top worst companies in America (twice, mind you?) They've changed as well. Konami? They're sort of listening. But with what they done to Kojima and his company. Is it no wonder that many gamers are afraid of what they're gonna do with their classic game franchise after MGSV came out. I feel it's the same for Nintendo. Except more quieter cause..... Yeah! E3 2015 wasn't the best for them. (And people have spoken whenever they release rushed games and crude.) But we shall see?

And yet explain why AD tried to shove up Sticker Star elements in Paper Jam even through peoples clearly didn't like the game.
Really, i'd like to believe you but the fact they've tried again (Puzzle & Dragons: Mario edition) and again (Paper Jam), to shove up the same elements that peoples clearly didn't like make me wonder if they do really listen.
Maybe it explain why Paper Jam is flopping in EU and Japan (will see soon if it do the same in America as well)

After all the recent disappointments, I just can't bring myself to get even the least bit excited about this. The wounds that Sticker Star caused were just far too deep, and it's killed almost any remaining enthusiasm I've had for the Paper Mario series or any of the RPGs in general. Assuming this isn't just a rumor, then here's hoping it actually brings the series back to its roots. Just keep Miyamoto as far, far away from it as possible.

I don't think comparing Sticker Star to Puzzle & Dragons is a good idea sir? lol Those are two completely different genres (and gameplay styles.) This is what the gameplay of P&D's look like...
The version you're talking about is the bundle pack that comes with Puzzle & Dragons Z.
I can explain the Shiny Sticker enemies from Sticker Star? If you never played Pokemon passed the anime for some reason? They exist shiny Pokemon as well. Each with different abilities and crap. I could argue that Paper Jam has to feature more rare and powerful enemies that you only encounter randomly. (Yes in Pokemon passed Gen 2. You can capture Shiny Pokemon and train them.) In Paper Jam's case? They will give you more coins, items that are useful and rare, (like mushrooms and crude.) and the rarest of them all.... The Wellington Boots! Hmm? I think Paper Jam is a way better RPG than Sticker Star? (No offense?) Sticker Star isn't even consider a true RPG to me? (You don't even level up or gain items in battle anymore.) It's like they were going for harvest moon like gameplay and they even screwed that up big time cause Harvest Moon isn't a good example of how to change the RPG formula and crude. lol
I'm not trying to disprove your theory or anything like that? But once you make one bad RPG game? People will get angry online.... Allot!
Nintendo's not immune to hate mail dude? We just gotta wait until it comes straight outta the houses mouth?
(I even read an article a few years back where back when Wind Waker was than known as OOT tech demo. It was revealed during E3 2000. He was trying to play the game with a journalist and that person was screwing up the gameplay big time. But after the stage play was over. Miyamoto suddenly with a more serious look on his face. Got very PISSED at him. Mind you? He puts on a smile on in public. But if someone screws up BIG TIME! He will reveal his dark side.)
I sometimes hide my anger in a smile outside of public. But if someone makes me mad or does something hurtful to me? I will go insane on that person and call them out in seven bad words I can not say in this forum alone. Trust me? Me and Miyamote have something in common. (Plus I have Aspergers Syndrome.) So there's that to worry about?
We'll see in a month or two?

I think Paper Jam is a better RPG too.
My main problem is how they took elements of Sticker Star that peoples clearly didn't like and put them on Paper Jam anyway (granted they did try to make it better)
Yeah, i know about Miyamoto's dark side, it's because this that SMG2 ended up with less story and creative stuff...and how Sticker Star went from something closer to TTYD to the game it is today.
I admit he probably want to help but devs shouldn't blindly listen to him and actually take risks.
I much prefer a game that take risks in creativity than a game that play safe with a generic formula (this is what i hate about Paper Jam, outside of a few ideas they played the game really safe for a crossover)
I value creativity as well. While I like storyheavy games tbh, Mario gsmes shouldnt be too deep . Just not rehashes

Exactly. A MRPG should be simple yet fun and quirky. Those games are what I like the most. (I love theories as well so no biggie
Also while I think that Nintendo will improve thiw year (lets face it 2015 wqsnt their best) ,cant say the same for mrpgs

That we can both agree on! My Asper brother! :)If Sticker Star is the future of Mario RPGs? Why bother with that? (Maybe in 2000 years. A true Paper Mario game will break new ground and save the Mario Industry again?) XD JK But still. Never say never?

Truly! Let's wait until more inform from the rumor shades some light. I wanna be surprise and junk. lol

Exactrly...Despite not being that much into the MRPGs anymore (nowadays I am moreinto mariginal Nintendo) I am most certainly interested and curious whether or not this rumor is true
I really hope that SS isnt the forumla the MRPGs will follow on , but at the same tiem I hope that we don't get a game tha´t just tries to please the TTYD fans...I want a game that is like TTYD but not pure pandering

I also wanna see them out best TTYD kinda like how OOT is the definite version of all Zelda games. (Zelda Wii U will break that mold?) If the new games story is crazy as it sounds? Then I'm all for crazy storylines and crude.

Same here .
I really hope the rimors of a crazy storyline is true haha
Well they say the Koopalings are there which mean the NSMB isn't too far away
We'll see but i'm more currently focusing on M&L, specially with the AMA that come soon.
That was by FawfulTheGreat64 who said that. It wasn't a rumor from the leak. He just got the idea from it due to the Kooplings saying why haven't they met their Paper version of themselves yet and one of them says that they're probably too busy taking over other areas in the Mushroom Kingdom in the Paper Mario universe. (Just trying to clear things up before we become depressed again?) XD

Lol. Three great games (to you) and it just takes one to turn you off the series completely? You must really really hate Sonic by now.
oh reality, it's not for me and it makes me laugh oh, fantasy world and disney girls i'm coming back

To be fair Paper Jam shows that they like the Sticker Star story formula, or else they would have crossed M&L over with one of the first two (AKA the most popular, and traditional) Paper Mario games.

Yet we don't even have an official crossover to the one game that started it all.... Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars! lol
Even if Sticker Star is way better than newer seasons of Spongebob? I don't think that they'll ever use that formula ever again if Emily Rogers is telling the truth. Nintendo would sue her in court and crap. lol We need more leaks and a good one too? Also only Paper Mario I never brought online or in stores. I think there's a reason why that game is the new black sheep in the family? lol
Also you never know if Paper Jam does become a success or not? Maybe future crossovers will feature those Paper Mario characters from the first 2 games. (And even Super Paper Mario if someone figure out how to fit them into an RPG game?) lol
Yup.

New SpongeBob is worse than old SpongeBob, but I wouldn't call it worse than Sticker Star... lol. I still enjoyed some of the newer SB episodes. They didn't feel like as much of an insult as Sticker Star is to the PM series. But still, an odd comparison nonetheless. I have strange opinions on newer versions of classic cartoons. I like New SpongeBob and I like the Brave Little Toaster sequels. I even like Tom and Jerry: The Movie. But when it comes to Paper Mario I don't want them to mess with the story. I want them to keep making progressively epic plots until Mario is saving the multiverse from the equivalent of Satan. It might be unpopular but I like my epic, dark and edgy plots. I even somewhat enjoyed what I played of Sonic 06.

Cool. I used to watch bad movies too. (Scary Movie, Kanokon, Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, and even the newer seasons of Family Guy.) I had some similar tastes to yours my friend. Only difference is unless it's something that effects me personally? I have no problem with changing the formula for a new generation. (Like the Strider reboot by Double Helix and Capcom too.) But touch my Paper Mario games? And SMACK! You're done?

Lol. Three great games (to you) and it just takes one to turn you off the series completely? You must really really hate Sonic by now.
It's not just that. There's also the fact that the game has been getting shoved in our faces repeatedly since its release, giving everyone the indication that they're satisfied with the direction Sticker Star took the series, and have little to no intention of bringing it back to its roots. Things that happened with the recent Mario & Luigi games (even if both series were made by different developers) didn't exactly fill me with much reassurance.
As for Sonic, it's the total opposite, actually. I liked most of the so-called "terrible" games, and enjoyed them far more than overrated titles like Colors (Wii) and Generations.
