In a similar vein to LunarTanooki, I've decided to start my own fan-art thread.
This first one was a bit of a quicky, as well as a bit of an ego trip. Due to noticing some...similarities...between Color Splash's initial reveal and my old Relic Hunter topic from 2013, the first picture posted is of the first partners in each (or potentially Relic Hunter's first and Color Splash's only...) meeting each other. Both grant Mario the ability to restore color in their own ways. Here, though, someone needs a little paint from someone else...and it's not who you think.

To celebrate Wonder Journey's release, as well as truly honor Paper Mario on its 15th anniversary, here's a model sheet I did of the very first major boss in the Paper Mario series. Not only that- he's one of a scant few individuals who made it into non-RPG games. I speak, of course, of Goomboss/Goomba King. DIRECT LINK FOR BIGGER SIZE: i.imgur.com/Fi60Dpr.png

Yo're a great artist and you need to keep work hard!I love your fan-games,the stories are so interesting and if you will make a real game and sell it i will buy it!
Here's a more chibi-like take of one of the Color Splash Recut characters. I actually did this shortly after the topic was over, but didn't post it until now.
UPDATE: Newer version of Kidd created with new Vellbex template below.

For another female animal Mario knows, redrawn to better fit Paper Mario- Puum, the Lyrar of Mercadia! I mostly did this to calm myself, after the... news from Nintendo Everything the other day.

Here's yet another female new character- wow, this topic's been getting a lot of these. This time, however, she's someone never seen or heard of before. Introducing Sachit the Kleptoad!

Time for a change of pace. Here's a species from the Game Boy game Super Mario Land. Or rather, the Paper Mario version of them- Pionpi! And not just the normal kind everyone kind of knows- I also included females and kids.
While these two aren't physically showing up in Fruit Shake, they will appear as a shared Totem. They join Woody Tim and a (very) few other Recut exclusive characters without counterparts in this regard.

Since I already made sprites for the Bandits, I decided to make a sheet for a past Recut character as an added bonus. Here's Wispy the Bandit, from Sticker Star Recut.

A slew of art today for this thread, all in high resolution! While they're all reposts from Reddit and deviantart, it's still good to have them here for completion's sake.
First, here's a companion piece for the eighth-gen style partner I did. This also conceptualizes how I'd do a Toad only NPC game if that were my only choice. Long story short- some restrictions would be removed and/or defanged.
Next, here's a Paper Mario version of King and Queen Hisstocrat, from Super Mario 3D World. The former, in particular, is a main series character I'd like to see in a Paper Mario game, limitless or restricted.
On top of that, here's newly done versions of the Toads in both ages and genders...along with the Whittles. On further reflection, I can kind of see now why the Whittles weren't adapted for Paper Mario...though a few would have still been nice.
EDIT: Oh wait- make room for one more CS Re partner, and the final completely new one from that topic with a higher res sheet. Here's Edwin (the Enriching)!

Out of nowhere, I decided to create an HD spriteset for one of Mario's partners from the official Paper Mario games. I thought it was only appropriate to do so for one of the most famous in that category- Goombella the student

Fittingly, here's a spritesheet I made for the very first partner in the Paper Mario series- Goombario the Goomba, one of Mario's biggest fans! This was done as a request for Paper_Matt of reddit, so thanks to that individual for myself making this ahead of time.

Another spur of the moment spritesheet I did. The target this time is an individualized version of one of Sticker Star's bosses- Pokeyhotep. I made him in two versions, in fact- one with the crown, and one without. If I do more fangame topics beyond the in-progress Fruit Shake in the future and the plot calls for Pokeyhotep, the latter model will be used. (I tried giving the latter a pharaoh headdress, but none of the designs worked.)
As a bonus, I used the opportunity to make jumbo sprites for the Royal Stickers. Though they appear to just be crowns, readers of the DMZ topics know of their nature there...
THE UNSEEN! Ruxx, Pip and Scizz from Relic Hunter, previously not actually drawn, now have sprite sheets! These sheets will also be added to the Relic Hunter topic, to improve the reader's experience. RUXX
THE UPREZZED! Also from Relic Hunter (and Color Splash Recut), I not only made higher definition sprites for the Brustaches- I updated their designs, too. BRUSTACHES
THE UPSTAGED! Finally, another face joins the Brustaches in this regard. Unlike the above characters, this boogying dancetopus is featured in an official playable game with Paper Mario (plus the Recut of said game). I'm talking about Sunshine veteran, Gooper Blooper. In two colors, to boot! GOOPER BLOOPER
Also, for those who haven't seen, several spritesheets and new pics have and are been/being added to the Sticker Star Recut. This is to increase the enjoyability of the fangame topic.

In tonight's post, I bring a little over half of the seven Koopalings in Paper Mario form. As a bonus, I've made them in two varieties.
First, here's their official looks from Color Splash, recreated and retraced. NOTE: These are basic spritesheets, so only the essentials are included. LARRY
Then, here's some custom wacky looks. I made these Koopalings using only their NSMBU artwork and the principles of the original trilogy as sources. LARRY
