Everyone turns around. They see Jaykan heading towards a rabbit hole, with Catguru waiting.
CATGURU: I apologize for the wait, Lady Jaykan. But I don’t regret witnessing the beginning of a new celebration! Now, Sir Jibbles awaits back in Mercadia. And it was so nice on Prism Island- now I can understand the insanity of the Blight King.
JAYKAN: Yeah, I...guess.
Jaykan slowly continues towards the portal, saddened.
BOWSER: H-h-hey! Jaykan, WAIT!
Jaykan turns around.
JAYKAN: Yes, Bowser?
BOWSER: ....uhhhhhhh...
Jaykan starts drooping. She then continues on her way.
KAMEK: ...I can’t believe I’m saying this.
KAMMY: What, Kamek?
KAMEK: Master Bowser, permit sticking my nose in places it doesn’t belong. But I think there’s words you wish to say to this young lady, and I don’t need to be able to see into your mind to know this. And there’s a chance you may never see her ever again. If you don’t speak what needs to be said, you may spend the rest of your lives regretting it.

Bowser fumbles around. He then turns towards the direction Jaykan was heading in. As Jaykan walks into the rabbit hole...
BOWSER: JAYKAN!? ...good-bye, buddy. You weren’t a minion to me, but a really good friend. Spending time with you got me to realize what I should have done with Junior more often. I also know now it’s OK to show a little mercy. And even though you said you needed me, the truth is...I needed you.
Bowser turns back towards his minions.
WENDY: ...King Bowser?
BOWSER: Let’s leave this tunnel and never come back.
LUDWIG: Agreed. I’ve had enough of colors, as is.
The Koopalings, Magikoopas and Motley all leave. Junior follows them. As Bowser is about to leave, though...

: Thank you, Bowser. Good-bye to you, too.
BOWSER: !
Bowser turns around. To his relief, Jaykan is happily poking out the rabbit hole.

BOWSER: You know what? Not good-bye.

BOWSER, JAYKAN: Until next time.
Jaykan re-enters the rabbit hole. The rabbit-hole then vanishes.
JUNIOR: She was a good pal, wasn’t she, Pops?
Bowser turns around. He sees Junior.
BOWSER: Yeah. Yeah she was, son.
JUNIOR: So...what do you want to do now?
BOWSER: ...you know, I heard Larry blab something about a Tangerino Grill. Why don’t all twelve of us head there?
JUNIOR: Last one there pays the bill. If we don’t scare the owners, that is!
BOWSER: Gwahahaha! It’s a race, son!
Bowser and Junior run out of the Aurora Underground together, happy.

Description: What if Shroomsday didn't stop Bowser heading to Prisma Fountain…?

+Return to the new room with the pod. By giving the “Another” as a sample...

EX BOSS TIME! BLACK BOWSER

LOCATION- Koopalings’ Castle Throne Room
BGM- Final Boss Phase 1 (Paper Mario Color Splash Recut); Blackout (Paper Mario: Color Splash [Recut])
HP: 1250
MARK: Splotchleek
+This is the Black Bowser fight from the actual game. Some changes are those carried over from the Splotchleek Bossblob battle (Huey taking 14 hits instead of 11, the partners getting dialogue, etc.). Black Bowser doesn't use any timespace shenanigans, either.
+In addition, Black Bowser doesn't have a spiked head. This allows Mario more leeway in jumping attacks.
+Upon reaching 1000 HP, Black Bowser unleashes his desperation attack. If Mario fails, Bowser regains 100 HP.

+For defeat Black Bowser, Mario obtains the Black Paint Cape Artifact.
+For defeating all EX Bosses, a new banner unfurls near Prisma Fountain.
EXTENDED EPIC: Defeated all extra opponents in Dark Bloo Inn.

ARTIFACT
Black Paint Cape
Slots: 3
Effect: Halves the damage from Shroomsday and Splotchleek-marked enemies and bosses.

Well, that was the DMZ take on Paper Mario: Color Splash. Holy smokes, that took a long time. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone who read through to the end for doing so.

Despite what it may look like, I hope Nintendo keeps the series going anyways, and completely removes all the non-tech, non-budget based limitations. I also hope they completely think through the game mechanics they come up with in the future. Finally, I wish the producers of the 9th gen Paper Mario games are far more profound in their ideals and views than Kensuke Tanabe and Risa Tabata were.

Yeah, it's a really good take on Color Splash and how it could have been made more original.

P.S. While I did call it very wish fulfilment like on Reddit, that doesn't mean it's bad. It's really good, just sometimes a tad realistic. But hey, your idea would have probably done miles better than the game we got, both in reviews and sales!

I kind of have prior obligations to fulfill elsewhere, and (more of a comment for everyone) the current teaser is for next year's fantopic. I've even planned a little further ahead of that for "just in case". Basically, I'm busy for a while.

While the idea would be nice, the reply from Stephen Mortimer shows it was just an honest mistake.
Nevertheless, I thank you for this huge find, and explaining this topic's existence to him. And despite the mistake, it's still interesting how Stephen used the Recut boxart.

As for the video itself- since I may have speed-watched playthrough videos of Color Splash, I missed a few details.
For example, I didn't know Huey automatically notified the player to his ability three times - I thought the other players were just pressing Up on the control pad the two following times for some weird reason.
I also didn't realize the original game never specifically teaches how to use the Hammer in the prologue. Action Commands in general, yes, but not the hammer.
