(@)Rainvainz: I have at least twenty of them planned, which means I'm currently more than halfway done.
@viridi: Alright. So far, here are the final boss candidates for the story.
-Dimentia and Dimention. -Dimentia alone. -Dimention alone. -Antasma -Bowser -Other
I won't tell you whether or not you're correct as of yet, but which do you think it is? Of course, I'm pretty sure I don't need to tell you which of them the final boss isn't.
Dimentasma ! :
But i'm certain Nintendo staff will just break into your house and force you to make Bowser the final boss:P

That's awesome. I'd totally do something like that if it weren't for the fact that Antasma's already gotten screwed over enough, due to Bowser's horribly tacked on appearance in Dream Team. If he's to be the final boss in the story, I feel as if he deserves a chance to shine as a standalone villain.

Antasma definitely need a come back and a proper closure to his story.
His closure here felt like they wanted to pull him out of the game as fast as they could rather than giving him a nice ending.
Pretty much. They basically defeated the purpose of even coming up with a new antagonist in the first place. If they were going to pull a stunt like that, they might as well had just used Bowser from the get-go. Yes, I'd have been disappointed, I won't lie about that, but I wouldn't have been anywhere near as outraged as I am now. As I said before, the only way I'll be able to overlook this is if Antasma gets another chance like Fawful did.

Aside from Bowser, one of the clowns, being the more evil of the two, is also planning on betraying the other.
Well apparently there exist a Dreamy Bowser beta sprite, implying he might have been planned earlier than we through. (well IIRC, the developpers did say they wanted Bowser to be more evil in this game)
I like to think that Tas was made late in developpement (hence why his artworks are blue with black arms and slighty diffirent facial features while his sprites are purple and more cackletta-like), they eventually through that there was something wrong with Tas (The "too weak" argument) but couldn't pull him out of the game since they were too far into developpement, so they made that stunt to pull him out of the game as fast as they could.
But it's true Tas need another come back, so he can shine and be a memorable villain (also have an actually loyal assistant in which he can interact with)
I don't understand what they thought was so "weak" about Antasma. Even as he is, he was still a force to be reckoned with, and everything about him pretty much screamed "final boss". In fact, he was actually more of a challenge than Dreamy Bowser. At least in my opinion.

Actually I thought that it was someone else (not telling who tho) but I think its either of the jester twins....i don't think that its Antasma and I am 99% sure its no Bowser uwu

I think maybe they meant that his character and writing was "weak" or something. That would be the only explanation, but even then that is a flimsy excuse because they scripted the game to make Antasma secondary to Bowser.

Yeah they didn't speak about Tas being physicaly weak more like something in his writing which made him "weaker" than the evil Bowser they were going to put thus unfit for final boss slot which is why they decided that Bowser alone would be the final boss.
That's why i really hope the shoddy ending is just an excuse to re-work Antasma into a much more memorable and "stronger" villain for next game.
It took some time, but I've finally gotten the next chapter finished and released, complete with more Cranky Kong commentary. He doesn't seem to like my story very much.
Here's a preview. Some may (or may not) recognize it from my signature many months back.
Antasma: *Morphs from his bat form to his vampire form*
Birdo: AAAAAHH! IT’S CACKLETTA!
Luigi: Hmm? Oh ho ho! Oh, no, that’s not Cackletta, that’s just Antasma.

…
W-Wait a minute! Antasma!?
Adored the Cranky Kong commentary.
The Anti-Guy bit about gender also had me thinking and laughing.
