Gasp! I'm playing this game again and I will try to list only the positives. I know some people really love this game, and our forum so far might alienate them. So this topic will be dedicated to positives that I notice throughout the game.
Feel free to debate and criticize these positives though. Not every post here has to be positive. That would be near impossible.
Opening Scene - Decalburg
1. The scene of the actual Sticker Fest was quite beautiful, with the starry sky and all the toads gathered.
2. The scene with Bowser attacking was humorous, with the toads pulling his tail to hold him back.
3. The start of the game is quite fun, finding all the toads and peeling them off walls, or looking in trash cans.
4. The house with the toad who receives postcards from the lying traveling buddy is cool
World 1
1. Bouquet Gardens is nice with the fan, and planting the fire and ice flowers for the sad toad
2. Hither Thither Hill is cool with the windmill and Giant Buzzy Beetle boss
3. The green toad encountered here is funny, as he is scared and took weak to do anything while you take him to town
4. Whammino Mountain was fun to see the domino effect in the background knocking down the mountains
5. Goomba Fortress was interesting at certain parts, like when the bob-ombs rain down on the player
World 2
1. The toad at Damp Oasis is cool, and using the vacuum cleaner to clear the sand
World 3
1. I love how the music stops as you go deeper into the forest at the start
2. Loved seeing snifit and ninji again!
3. Wiggler is awesome, and the treehouse is well done
4. The Bafflewood is pretty clever
5. Snifit or Whiffit is awesome
6. Wiggler taking you to fight the boss
7. The boss itself
This was the best chapter, overall!
Chapter 4
1. The music
2. Birdo sighting
3. Enigmansion - I really can't state this enough, but Enigmansion could actually be in a real Paper Mario game. This even beats Creepy Steeple. The music, the remixed Ghost House theme when catching boos, Big Boo, everything!
Yeah, that is all I have for now! Did you guys like any of these parts?
So far, the game is much better the next time because none of that initial frustration lingers. Sadly, no characters or story still, but this game is decent on its own, but an awful Paper Mario, despite nailing lots of paper moments. Things stickers were great, I like using them in various combos to see which causes lots of damage! They just need to be handled better.
