Now back to underrated games: the Starfy series. Now I can see why this series isnt that known (4 out of 5 games japan only releases and can be seen as too childish and not as good plattofrmer series as Mario or Kirby) and I dont think it is the best plattformers or series in general Nintendo has made (it is in the top ten tho ). However I wish more people knew about the game for multiple reasons. First of all the characters are adorable and wacky. The gameplay is quite fun (from what I have seen, only watched at least) and the art style is quite good for a GBA game. The stories are a bit more in focus than in your avreage plattformer (and also only one involves kidnapping YAY) . Like Kirby, the games can have surprising dark elements such as that some characters died in the games. The villain of the first three games (Ogura) was surprisingly awesome and no one of the other three ones came even CLOSE. . I personally think that the third game is the best. Best storyline and overall seemed fun. Plus it was Starlys debut game. The true ending of the game made me tear a bit. Just an underrated and quirky series I hope to get a remake at somd point :3 (Also the series has an androgynous seahorse character qho plays trumpet WHAT MORE TO ASK)
Wow, that seahorse comment came out of left field and was so random! That sold me! I need it now. Starfy needs an appearance in Smash to make him more visible. I think the childish look may help it actually, as Kirby gets away with it, although we often get mad Kirby here in the States. He never smiles on our covers, except for Epic Yarn.
I just had to mentoin that. He (I think he was male) has a minor role in near the all games.
Starfy appearing in smash as playable would be good but there are SO MANY we need before him. Even if talking about assist rrophy promoting I would put Takamaru before him (altho Starfy would be a bit more unique). What Starfy needsnow is remakes of the original games. Or a brand new game
Dark Moon made so much more sense than Mushroomy Kingdom again. Dark Moon had Gloomy Manor, Haunted Towers and so many great locales that could have made great stages. It was a huge 3DS game and we already had a Luigi's Mansion level before. I just cannot believe they missed the opportunity. That is my biggest gripe with the game.
Magicant makes up for it almost, though. And Paper Mario! ^_^
