Hey, hey! I'm sorry, I had a roller-coaster going on the past month or so (yeah, I wasn't active for January or February). I could, uh, tell you about it but I, uh, had some serious relationship issues with my father.

Yeah, I totally missed out on Paper Jam this time, even though I do want to try it. Never finished Dream Team, though, and I don't feel like it. Paper Jam seems more interesting to me, though.
Yeah, Paper Jam do improve in some areas, granted a common complain was that the setting and characters felt a bit bland (AlpaDream actually addressed on those saying they envisaged to put OCs and possibly more stuff like going in the Paper World but ultimatly felt it wouldn't mesh well with the crossover nature of the game and went with a standard setting) and those Toad missions too.
I'm very sceptical about this game, on one hand it do have beautiful graphisms and unique areas on other hand it seem to continue on the Sticker Star formula that many hated.

I think the rationale for leaving out original characters in Paper Jam makes sense in order to make character interactions more interesting and not put all the eggs in one basket. As for Sticker Splash, I don't know, I just don't like it. I feel like Mario's getting through quite some crap in the recent years. I've skipped a bit too many Mario games for my liking. Sigh...
Yeah, i can understand that, it's a crossover so better focus on the interactions within the existing characters than trying to pull characters that do not fit in.
I do not like it either, it's pretty but it lack...soul and then there is the blatant disregard of fan complains...
Ironically as i said in the other thread, i think the SPM designs would work for this one, it's a game based around painting, so having ennemies based on Picasso and various surreal paintings would actually work there.

I think the Super Paper Mario designs could work for maybe as only one world theme, but not as a recurring theme throughout the game. For other worlds, though, they can use other painting styles, even the Van Gogh-like style haunted level from New Super Mario Bros. U. Okay, that would be too clever for Nintendo.

Hello! (This is technically my 3ed post) I have decided to join after lurker around a bit seem like a decent place. People seem nice while a bit off-topic happy.
Well like see, I'm currently go to a Naruto/anime forum and a Pokemon one. Zelda fourm that seems to be dead, I used to go to a Mario one but that close down, a Banjo-Kazooie one but haven't been there in forever. There is another site that has decent people but that place +18 site so yeah.
In detail: Naruto Fourms, Serbii.net, ZeldaInformer, Super Mario Legacy, and Rerewitch Project.
Yeah it OK, sort of mixed between good people and the trolling type. I was part of a Secret Santa thing and I did a pixel art of Ryuko from Kill la Kill.
Well the tricky part is understand portions much like drawings is. Start out with a skeleton/sketch of what ya want and work that generally what do anyway. Draw a lot as a kid so I have the basic ideas and pixel art is no different just a lot smaller.
An interesting piece I did do is using a Scott Pilgrim Sprite as reference and turning that into a digital art. It does look like the sprite as if it was enlarged but it was constructed pixel by pixel (More or less).
I'm more of writer the a drawing tbh, I have a bit of a overflowing imagination.
A lot my work isn't really Mario related, I do have older stuff. Most of it aren't that great though. I rember I used Magus Von Gripple as for my 3D art class because it was a cube. Fan obsession phases will do that.
I will say I was fairly uncreative in my younger years.
