So lately Nintendo stated that the Toads are a gender/sexless race. They also stated that Toad and Toadette are just friends
Some peoplr have been mad about this. Me? I think its a neat detail. Even if its hard to think that the super grandpa like Toadsworth doesnt have a gender nor the cute and girly Toadette. However I thought that what if while this fact is true some Toads like to think that theyre male while some others like to think theyre female.

Reading more in depth it's less they are genderless, it's more like the developper didn't bother/Didn't care assigning a specific sex to them even if they had gendered appearance.
Basically:
Ask: What gender are Toads ? Developpers: Lol! Idk.

I admit it feel random but make sense since they would focus on gameplay and how characters work in them before thinking "this character should be a girl and this one a boy"
They have already Yoshi, what do they want more ? That Bowser can change sex ?

Specially that in japan they have gender neutral pronouns, so it's easier for them to work with characters without bothering to assign them a gender (i believe this is Kirby's case, they use gender neutral pronouns and thus never bothered with his gender)
MY revalation didnt have to do with the gender thing but rather it was why the series never was released out of japan( so yes my revelation was off topic xD) (Also the only Starfy character whose gender is contested is Wosaruto, a recurring character in the series)
I think they just take on whatever traits that are around them in society. So they can be either male or female. I mean, bob-ombs probably are like that too. They do not even wear clothes except for a hat sometimes.
Wait, I thought they said 'genderless', not sexless. You know, the thing that irritates me is that you can be genderless (Agendered), but sexless as far as I know is not really natural. I mean, mutations possibly but a whole species...? Come on even plants have sex/gender. Lots of things don't make sense in video games though. But those things are like breaking pots and shooting doors open, not this senseless. I always assumed with every single video game species the genders vary, although by default I refer to them as male. The only possible exception is Toadette since she is apparently genderless. Are we going to call every toad/ette/sworth/bert an 'it' now? Nintendo really likes to screw with our brains... I'm confused
(QUICK EDIT: I think I found out why my gender isn't showing!! Obviously, Toadette is genderless so it's not a female! It make sense! ...but Junker had no confirmed gender either... why is this so confusing...)
Deep, Xandella. Your brain is so young and yet so smart.
I think there are the main sexes, but many can identify with multiple genders. Toadette identifies as female, so is therefore female. Or something like that, I have no clue.

Divinities aside, i believe Antasma (many thousands years old), Dimentio (hinted to be 1500 years old), Shadow Queen (over 1000 years old) and Rosalina (at least several centuries) are the oldest.
Yep, he has willpower and an amazing ability to control his emotions since after all that time he still wanted to partner up. He did not turn into a raging beast.
I wonder how long the Shroobs were alive out there in the stars.
