Today’s villain is the guy that most people imagine at the top of the list when they think of Courage villains. He is a cool, calculating sociopath by any standards. I am, of course, talking about Katz!
I am already scared just looking at his empty eyes! His monotone voice chills to the bone. He often talks in a slow, refined, and controlled manner. His posture is always controlled. Katz does not have to do anything special in order to be menacing. He just comes off as a bad guy!
Katz appears in a record five episodes throughout the four seasons of the show. His main goal remains the same however; he wants to win and crush his competition to further his own ideals. This usually involved the deaths of many offscreen characters. In his first appearance Katz own a hotel as a cover while he feeds guests to his spider. Bones litter some of the rooms!
In another episode he wants to sink a submarine cruise in order to make his own submarine company a more popular choice. He will use any tactic that he deems useful.
The one that scares me the most is Katz Kandy. In this episode he kidnaps Muriel and tortures her in order to gain her candy recipe so he can finally win the Nowere candy competition. That is his only motivation! He wants a first place trophy. Of course, he gets second.
I always wonder what he put in his candy, however. He has machine that turn people into taffy, so his candy business may be his darkest creation yet, but nothing is confirmed. That is what makes Katz so scary. Many of his evil deeds are merely hinted at and never revealed completely. Add his famous music track that accompanies his scenes and it can be a pretty effective scare.

Well, sadly I liked Katz too much to be too freaked out, but the number 1 villain is just scary to me.
