This is it. The last entry of this list. Its the final countdown *rock music playing*
We have had many great villains on this list. We have had intelligent and cunning villains,villains that are interesting as characters and so on. We have ventured from my Pokemon nostalgia to my adoration with king boo. We have had fanfavorites like K Rool and (criminally???) underrated villains like Captain Syrup or Ogura. Yet there is only one villain that deserves number one spot. I knew from the beginning who the number one was going to be.
Number one is the lord of the underworld and master of trolling himself,Hades.
Hades,where do I even START with this guy. I absolutely adore him to bits. And why? Because he is hilarious. Ever since he is introduced Hades makes a lot of witty remarks through the game. Many things he says are absolutely hilarious and quoting worthy. Does this guy take ANYTHING seriously? Despite being the lord of the underworld Hades is absolutely carefree and not serious like. At all
Despite this Hades is a villain you dont want to mess with. He is intelligent,cunning and knows what he is doing. In a sense he is like Dimentio from the Mario franchise: full of funny remarks yet a sinister chessmaster villain. And I LOVE villains like that. Another reason why Hades is so high on this list is the fact that its revealed that he was the one responsible for the events of the first kid icarus. Woah...thats something
And despite the amazing trolling that is Hades there is another reason why he is SO HIGH on this list. No it isnt the fact he did an enemy mine situation with Pit at one point (as I love the trope btw). No it isnt his mimicutie pranks. The reason is rather simple (altho a bit weird). During the latest years we havent gotten many new great villains. We have had Magolor and some above awreage villains like Yuga or Queen Sectonia. But for most part....most of the newer villains have been either boring or wasted potiential. But Hades is not just above avreage. He is by far one of even if noy THE most entrateining villain I have seen in ages
So there we have it. Hades is a villain who is not only extremily witty but also cunning. He is charismatic,trolling and above all the true master of underworld. Pit may have defeaten him for now, but ifthe post credit scene is to go by Hades will return. That is if Sakurai or anyone else makes a Kid Icarus sequel...which probably will be in 23 years from now
