When I enabled the shoutbox, I intended it to be used for casual off-topic chat. However nearly every time I come online, I see strings of smileys.
I don't think the very first thing a guest sees should be filled with spam, and as such, I would like all the users of this forum to take note of this.
Please refrain from posting more than 5 smileys in a single post. Signatures are exempt from this rule, but please make sure these smileys are used in the way they were intended (AKA not long-ass strings of them)
This will be permitted (to an extent) in Asinine Blather. I have not given out an official warning as I feel that may be too harsh, but I ask all moderators to let me know if this keeps getting out of hand. I don't want to disable the shoutbox again, but I also do not want it to be filled with smiley spam. Thank you for your consideration.
