I would like to talk about Super Mario Kun.

For those who wonder Super Mario Kun is a manga adaptation of the Mario games done by Yukio Sawada.

The manga is pretty long running and it started with Super Mario World adaptation.

Too bad it was only in japan until recently.

In December 2014, Super Mario Kun got localized in France as Super Mario: Manga Adventures by Soleil Manga.

Living in France and being a SML2 fan, i managed to buy the volume shown above.

So, here's a few things i can say, first off the manga is really funny and pretty childish at times, second off it do respect the Mario universe even if some liberties are taken.

Note: I don't want to show more since i would like to avoid copyright problems.

Overral, i loved it, humor is nice, there is action, game nods and it's pretty lighthearted.

I would recomend it if you are a Mario fan and live in France/Japan.

I guess it got published in France because of its huge japanese culture and also because Nintendo has pretty good sales in France.

Since 1978, it started because some french company wanted to buy shows for cheap prices and japanese shows were meeting those requirement.

Eventually despite reactionary peoples, moral guardians and censure, Manga and anime became ingrained in french society resulting France being the second biggest buyer of japanese shows after Japan itself.

We get manga volumes every two months or so. Comics are very month, but manga has to be translated.

Nope, you can provide more scans if you want. Just as long as you don't reproduce the entire book or are close to doing so, you won't run into any problems providing more scans.

I got a few Japanese versions from Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, so I have more than four volumes. I plan on getting more, despite being in all Japanese. The images are nice.
