It was a really really great game, the combat was well done, and I like the baby gimmick. And to be honest, it was a breeze to play through. I did not get a Game Over at all, and I used lots of powerful badges. Still, it was a very fun game, and I enjoyed basically every minute of it.
Here's a question now: What part in the game is your favorite?
My favorite is near the end, where you infiltrate the Shroob Castle. There's a lot of cool enemies and a lot of nice puzzles, and it ends with awesome boss battles!

I really enjoyed the whole Star Gate sequence. The gate was being a huge jerk to poor Luigi, I wouldn't be surprised if that gate was a mentor to Starlow. But the Luigi feels from that scene were strong, and having Mario and the babies stand up for him and defend him was wholesome. Also pretty much all the interactions between the bros. and the babies, especially when Luigi gives Baby Luigi a Yoshi cookie, and of course the final scene where they say goodbye. So many feels
Of course there's meeting Fawful too, but I may be a wee bit biased on that one
Personally I haven't played through it in a while, but I've watched LPs of it recently. I remember it being the hardest game for me when playing (at least before Paper Jam) because I was bad at most of the best Bros. Items. I wonder if I'll do better now
This game is, by far, the best of the M&L series. I loved the puzzles, the bosses, the alien invasion plot, and the combat. I found the babies to be a fun addition and the way they interacted with the environments was creative! I loved taking the different routes with them and exploring nooks and crannies, despite their smaller stats. They added a lot to the game and Baby Luigi is adorable. ^_^
I found PIT to be the hardest. The first time through the game I did not use Bros. Items and I guess that initial impression never left my mind. The final bosses are quite tough, however, with shields and vulnerable periods only lasting a short time. I found the final boss theme to be the best in the series. The background with the stormy sky and burning ships further enhances the theme by setting the scene. It is a desperate battle with all the Yoshi Cookies on the line!
I think this game also has the best case. Just look at how much the managed to put on the cover! The Twilight Zone swirl is awesome like the Shroobs on the cover in a menacing manner. Plus, the cover has multiple unique characters on it like Kylie Koopa. When I first saw the cover I was intrigued to find out who all these characters were and what story they could tell and I was not disappointed. Kylie Koopa is my favorite side character in the M&L series. She is sassy, smart, and full of scoops!
Overall, this game is only behind SPM and TTYD for me in regards to the RPGs. My favorite parts included the spooky Toadwood Forest with the VIM draining plot being the most horrific part of the M&L series standing up there with even the darkest moment of TTYD and SPM. I love spooky areas in general, so the Toadwood Forest at dusk really got me excited to explore. On the other side of the spectrum, I found the visit to Star Hill absolutely beautiful. The music is enchanting and the landscape made me fall in love with the series all over again. The art design is amazing!
Bowser's Inside Story is my second favorite in the series. I adore Fawful and Midbus and their partnership. Peach's Castle remains my favorite ending area with the fantastic giant battle along with Blizzard Midbus, Dark Fawful, and Junker standing out as great boss battles.
What was your favorite boss from BIS? Did you like the giant battles? Maybe one in PIT would have been cool. Like a battle against the Mothership!
Yoob and the Mothership would both make great giant battles.
I want a boss rush mode, maybe some new bosses and one new area. The game definitely felt shorter than the others. Add in some bonus content to help round out the experience.
The small scenes in this game were also worth mentioning. I ADORED Fawful's scene and shop and seeing a young E. Gadd was amazing.
Honestly I over a lot of the location each with a sort of flavor to it. Can't really say anyplace felt bland to me. Gritzy Desert is my least favorite while The Shroob castle was my fav.
The game was fun and while bosses and enemies may have excessive amount of HP I found going the Power for your Level ups actually smooths it out. My only real grip is getting custom to four buttons which I wish two of each buttons weren't Color coded the same but other was it all was good.
They probably will remake it but I'm guessing SS and BiS just be popular and or had more missing stuff in them.
