Okay, I recently saw somebody say that this game has about as much unique characters as the others, about as much as Thousand-Year Door or Super Paper Mario per chapter. I'm at a loss here. Help me out.
Super Paper Mario Chapter 1 characters
O'Chunks Dimentio Fracktail Merlumina Watchitt Bestovious Bridge Master Red Bridge Master Green Thoreau
Thousand-Year Door Chapter 1 characters
Hooktail Koops Koopie Koo Mr. Mowz Koopley Kroop General White
Stick Star World 1 Character
Kamek Bowser Jr. Megasparkle Goomba
Who else?
This is just the first chapter comparison. Think of comparing the Glitz Pit to Sticker Star. That one area would sweep of all Sticker Star.
Who else was an original character from Sticker Star, Kamek and Bowser Jr. already exist, but I could not think of many others.

I can't believe someone seriously said that Sticker Star had just as much unique characters as the last few games, when there was only a whopping one new character. I'm starting to wonder whether or not that person even played the previous games.

GameFAQS, dude. I need to stop reading that site. It goes on to say that each world in Sticker Star had about as much story as each chapter in Super Paper Mario.
I don't even...
The story in the Downtown of Crag is already enough to beat sticker Star, let alone Francis, Sammer Kingdom, or the Underwhere!

So, GameFAQs is the site in question, huh? I wish I could say I was surprised.
Seriously, the only world in Sticker Star that had anything that even remotely resembled a story was the third world, and maybe the second, to some degree.

Aw, not shocked? That site is indeed where I saw these complaints in particular, but the complaints about Dream Team's dialogue came from GameFAQS and some others, like Neoseeker and others. I don't know which is the worst.
Yep, and the fourth world has Enigmansion, which actually has some people to talk too!
What is the story for world 2? I'm not quite sure I understand you? The toad at the Oasis? Hey, forgot about him! ^_^

I was referring to the part where Kamek sunk the ruins into the ground and had its fragments scattered throughout the desert. Well, at least that's the closest thing to a story that the chapter had.

The only "thinking" that's required is figuring out which "Thing" they're weak against. Other than that, there's no real challenge to the bosses. Petey Piranha, in particular, was one of the easiest bosses in the game.

Yeah, exactly. You know, speaking of easy bosses, I actually found Super Dimentio to be more of a challenge than Giant Bowser was, and that's saying a lot.

Plus, having Bowser become a giant is way overdone. Starting with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, they felt the need to do that in pretty much every game, and it ended up losing its novelty completely.
Yeah. In that game, he pretty much appeared out of nowhere, with little to no explanation. Dream Team (along with the fact that he's the final boss in nearly every platformer) was already enough proof of Nintendo's blatant favoritism towards Bowser, but Yoshi's New Island helped proved that point even further. That just goes to show that they'll do anything to have him BS his way into the final boss slot, whether it's doing something out of his character like in Dream Team, or showing up out of the blue, just like Yoshi's New Island.
Yeah, and you are not even being dramatic. He literally pops up out of nothingness in Yoshi's New Island. He has no business being there. However, like before, many people seemed to view this as one of the game's better qualities. Most people hated on the game, but praised Bowser. It is so backwards to me.
I wonder what his role will be in the next Paper Mario game, if we get one.
So, Mario RPG Bowser and Super Paper Mario must have made you happy as far as Bowser goes.
I liked him in those games and Thousand-Year Door. I really wanted him to do something special in Sticker Star, but was horrified to find out that he just ran away and never appeared until the end! That is my least favorite form of Bowser.
Another Unique Character from this game, by the way, is the traveling toad. Remember him? He lies and sends post cards to the toad in the town. Woohoo, a character! ^_^

Pretty much, but admittedly, I never had any problem with Bowser in any of the RPG installments up until Sticker Star and Dream Team. One thing I'll give the former game credit for, however, is that they at least made it clear from the start that Bowser was going to be the final boss, and wasn't done in the form of a blatant copout, at the expense of another, more interesting character.
I just never was a huge fan of Bowser, I suppose, even before those games! I find Dream Team to be a huge offense, but Sticker Star Bowser was more offensive to me. I just can't stand that type.
What about platformers? Did you like him there? His Mario 64 self was rather ominous actually.
Furries?! Maybe you meant Flurries! Falcon, I hope the furries have nothing to do with all this! Please, oh please. We don't need that extra layer of... um, weirdness added!

You'll be surprised at the amount of furry Bowser porn you can find on the web, seriously is there is any wonder about why he get so much over-exposure ?

I guess he was okay in that game and Galaxy, but even back then, I still wasn't a huge fan of Bowser. As a villain, he's way too boring, repetitive, and predictable for my tastes, and it's absolutely mind-boggling as to how or why he, of all people, ended up getting singled out as the "Great Video Game Villain of All Time" in the Guinness World Records. I could think of tons of better villains, in and out of the Mario series that were probably far more deserving of that title.
Yes, very creepy indeed. I won't even bother looking for that stuff.
Ah,yes, Bowser is repetitive. That's why I was always a K. Rool guy! He spiced it up every game, even back when platformers did not require it. I'd love to see how much K. Rool could have evolved by now if he got as much attention as Bowser. I forgot that Bowser won that record, actually. He is even voted ahead of Ganondorf and other popular villains online in various polls. I have seen so many hurt/heal threads with Bowser dominating.

I alway get the feeling that Nintendo is playing too safe:
Developper 1: Maybe we should do a nice mario games with awesome ideas !
Developper 2: But-but if the peoples don't like it ?
Developper 1: You're right, we don't want to make the peoples disapoint, let's make it like in the way it had alway worked, no story, same assets, Bowser as the villain (because everyone love Bowser) and some Nostlagia thrown for good measure, just like how NSMBW worked !

Bingo! It is like you sat in on the meetings!
Super Paper Mario really took a huge gamble, and since then, they have played it pretty safe. Dream Team was a departure from that safeness to a degree, by eventually fell back into safe ways.
Also speaking of gamefaqs in the Layton vs AA board some pwople complained how text heavy it is... well its an point and click adventure , what do you expect. May remember it a bit wrong tho
Well I havent checked the miracle mask board (thank Primus) but yeah.... I think it was only one person who complained about the dialogue in pl vs aaa. Most times people complain about the plottwisr of the game... and thats it
