I'm Sight, and I've sort of lurked here for a while, out of sight. I watch you sleep.
I've been playing Mario RPGs since the first Paper Mario in 2001, and I don't think any other series has ever affected me nearly as much. The characters, stories, and worldbuilding are all very special to me. In fact, I get kinda upset when people refer to the platformers as the "main series." To me, they're just the wacky irrelevant "filler episodes" that come between the RPGs - the real main series.
My "biggest" contribution to the fandom thus far is an ongoing story called "The Kingdom Beyond Midnight." I'll link it in the fan creations board, if you're interested.

I always lurk forums for a while too, but I am glad you finally joined us. How long have you been around?
I would love for the RPGs to be the main series, but sadly they are pushed to the side. I totally understand your view, but Mario did start off as a platformer so I see why Nintendo focuses on that the most. Donkey Kong started out as a puzzle/platformer and now DKC is considered the main series, so series can evolve. Let's keep hoping.

Unfortunately the shoutbox is at the top by default. It's been a while since I moved it but most of the users who use it frequently seem to like it where it is. If there's a way for users to move it to the bottom for them only I don't know of it, sorry
