Sorry if I'm bumping but... I have to add Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Sky to the masterpiece list! It aged well, has an immensely deep plot, lots of stuff to do and it expands on almost everything. Also not everyone notices it afaik but some stuff the characters say or do is based on their Pokédex entries (such as Luxray hiding in the dark and striking, etc.) which is a fun way of nodding to the main series.
IMO Super Mario 64 aged horribly. I think Super Mario World and All-Stars SMB3 aged much better
I agree with this. Pmd2 is wonderful
I hope that psmd is as good as it
I doubt it. Ofc it can be super good and NEARLY as good but PMD2 will forever be the magnum opus. I do like the really ''larger scale conflict'' with legendary Pokémon being involved that they seem to be promoting tho. In PMD2 there weren't that much legendaries involved (which fit better in that game ofc).
Fun facts 'bout me: -I'm bisexual. -I am a huge Mario fan. Also Kingdom Hearts and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Sky. -I am making fangames and original projects: check out Super Mario RPG: The Prism Stone in the Fan Creations forum! -I have Asperger's Syndrome. -I am shy but I am friendly and don't dislike others for no reason.
Yeah. Pmd 2 is to pmd what TTYD is to paper mario, dns 3 is to staefy series and so on.. its hard to beat thw magnum opus but still i have high hopes for the game
Yeah I like thw involvment of legendaries. But I also hope we get non legendaries in important roles

Yeah. We need a Gardevoir rep, a Mega Blaziken rep (as in a Blaziken who eventually mega evolves in some story moment) and a Aegislash rep IMO. I would also love to see Grovyle return (tho I think it's unlikely), and we need reps of Pokémon that haven't got reps yet.

Aegislash YESS. One of my closest friends favorite pokemon actually so i am completely fine with this :3. The other ideas are great too. I just would like to see Slowking or Eelektross have some kind of story role but doubt it. Or have Xatu,Ninetails or the Wigglyguild return
I dont think grovyle will return but give him at least a cameo or something
Whats your most wanted pokemon that hasnt been repped yet. Mine is eelektross :3

Would rather go to Waffle Kingdom than this Mushroom crap.

I got a friend recently to buy this game, by the way. They are playing through it now and they love Koops so far. We decided to play old PS2 and GameCube games.
I agree, if the next Paper Mario is like TTYD I will be happy. It had the perfect blend of dark story and fitting, Mario-esque characters, and IMO the best chapter sub-plots in the series. Not to mention an amazing finale (I wish the later Paper Mario games had all the characters you met in each world cheering you on. That was one of the best moments in Mario history)
It takes a lot for a Mario RPG to get referenced by a main game, and TTYD (along with its prequel) managed to achieve that.
Also, welcome! Glad to see another new face
I´ll be also be happy, because on TTYD it had great soundtrack and it takes a new town, with a new story that doesn´t involve only to rescue the Princess...YOU HAVE TO SAVE THE HOLE WORLD OF A Demon-Shadow Princess!! And also, the attitudes of the NPC´s and some enemies were just mm....perfect. Damn you Dooplis....you won Mario for a little moment and make his friends betray him for a while... BTW...also Mario have two kiss here: The Shadow Siren partner and Gombella

I was shocked at how deep the NPCs truly were. If you never talk to them then you will miss a huge chunk of the game's charm. Plus, their dialogue changes after each chapter. I love talking to everybody in Rogueport and listening to the various sidestories like the neglectful Toad mother and aspiring writer.

Thousand-Year Door represented the pinnacle for me in terms of what I want from the designs. The side quests, characters, partners, chapters, and overworld and dungeon designs were all spot on.

I disagree in terms of physical design, but from what I discern so far, it's a pretty nice game.

You can only get so much from looking! Sometimes you have to touch, I mean play! ^_^
Twilight Town alone is a marvel. The rest is icing. You must go play it now!
While I think PM1 is a lot more balance then this This game had a great Story characters and places, so unique out of he 4. It's also the most challenging I legitly had issue with some bosses like the Shadow Sirens (both, I found out the hard way you shouldn't Take out Balam first), Magus Von Gripple 2.0, and Cortez. The badge system and the varied strategies you can employ was so fun to try different things out. The only bad things I can say is the side chapter are great but a bit lacking in creative, I do employ them for taking these stories and adding such charm to them but felt they could have done a lot more with them. Also the back tracking, I love the theme of Chapter 4 but didn't like the back tracking. Also I do wish the crazy daizies were held for later, solo Mario vs 4 Daizies is not fun.
People seem to rage at the pit but I found it fun and challenge on how you used your partners and innovatory usage. Bonetail isn't that hard, he just try to seem like it due to it's high HP. Fun game, too bad my GC controller is delay button commands now, making it a lot hard to play.
Yeah when your first time is Mario in front and Magus spam the vacuum the audience and attack the front person, that damages adds up quiet quickly. Or do what my bro and don't get red of his rocket fist, yeah they do a lot of damage.
If ya want the easy way then used flurry's Gale attack to blow his weapons away, suddenly he's a lot easier. I do love the all sort of different ways you can fight the bosses. From easy to hard.
Definally Yoshi, was the most useful throughout the game. The rest are good too but their uses were pretty limit while Yoshi was good almost everywhere. Plus I find him adorable and I often got the white color which was my favorite design imo. I'm fund of Goombella, Koops, Blobbery, and Vivan quite well. the rest are bit short side on their use time.
Yeah he lacks power and ecen when he get a decent amount later on but he drains FP like no other.
Bobbery had my favorite backstory, It really is nice to see just vast stories and motivations throughout the game. They all had good personality but I personally related to Koops the most, seeing him start so shy and timid and slowy growing out of his shell and become brave for his family. I can really related to his struggles, being quiet timid and a coward when I was kid.
Good game, but I like the first game a little better.
I wasn't fond of this game's main villains (although, like the first game, the chapter bosses were awesome). They seemed a bit too out of place to me. Really the only other issue I had was TEC-XX. He seems kinda pervy towards Princess Peach.
oh reality, it's not for me and it makes me laugh oh, fantasy world and disney girls i'm coming back
