I bet there are people here eho like pokemln. So lets share our favorites shall we
Here are some of mine:
Staraptor A great flying type pokemon with a good movepool and cool design. One of my strongest members on my diamond walkthro. And it can close combat
Bisharp My strongest (levelwise) pokemon in my white team. With a rather useful ability, great moveset and good stats its one of my favorite pokemons to use
Gigailth While many prefer training offensive pojemon i think its important to train defensive/support pojemons as well. And man i think my suppirt gigalith is great. With his moveset consisting of sandstorm, earthquake, stealthrock and toxic he is a support i love using on doubles. His poor speed leaves lot to desire but on the bright side he has good hp,p attack and p defense stats and ever useful ability sturdy.Gigalith is a good tank or offensive support like how my Nemo is ^^
Eelektross My all time favorite pokemon. My one on white is an absolute beast. Eelektross has rather good stats (especially on the attack and speed part altho others arent half bad either) and is my bruiser/speedster (not sure which he is) on my white team. The ability levitate makes Eelektross (as well its pre evolutions) the only pokemon with no weaknessess.while eelektross cannot learn that many moves by leveling up its movepool via tm is rather impressive. That and i like its design. Cool pokemln that I like using in battle and my choice for electeic type....besides ampharos of course : D And before you ask yes my one on white is nicknames EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK I NICKNAMED HIM
Xatu I never trainrd one but it has very cool design
Infernape - My first ever Pokemon was Chimchar and he later evolved into this beast! Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Stone Edge and Thunder Punch cover most bases and the high speed make Infernape a superb sweeper!
Luxray - I love the design and I made mine into a tank. I put rest and sleep talk on her and she almost always survived every battle.
Aggron - I love my tank! This guy can set up stealth rocks and thunder wave with the best of them and the sturdy ability keep him alive long enough to serve his purpose.
Staraptor - A flying type with a deadly fighting move! Rock types weep when Staraptor appears. Nothing can survive a choice banded brave bird. The speed is simple amazing. This was also my first flying type ever.
Mismagius - I love ghosts and she looks like Vivian from Paper Mario. She was my special sweeper the first time through Pearl.
So you have never played a traditional Kirby game?
Sinnoh had my favorite starters along with Kanto. I love all three there, and Unova had the weakest.
Infernape, Empoleon, and Torterra rocked. They were all so good. Great typing for their gen. Johto was so forgettable for starters.
Hawlucha - I love the fighting/flying typing. Ash uses one in the anime and it rocks, plus Korrina uses one in her gym in X/Y. This Pokemon is one of my favorite fighting types. Great movepool and good speed. Plus, it can fly me around!
Poor you. Brawl in The Family would have been so much funnier if you played Pokemon and the Kirby games.
Raichu - This guy gets forgotten because of Pikachu, but I love Raichu! Fast, and is a great electric type even in later gens. He is cool looking too. I never understood why he was not more popular or the true mascot for Pokemon.
I am the opposite of Xan actually. Growing up I mainly played pokemon games, and got into other Nintendo first later
YESS infernape, empoleon and torterra were awwsome. (I had empoleon in diamond eeeeee)
RAICGU. YESSSSSSSSSSS.(my closest IRL friends favorite pokemon so ye) AND HAWALUCHA IS LOVE
Also if we are going to talk about walls Jellicent is a great wall (or anything you put it) Its hp is GODLY HIGH (mine is level 75 and has 255 hp. No i did nothing to raise that hp) and its other stats are great too. And that ability cursed body YESS. Mine is a strange special attacker/wall combo tho... i should change her moveset

My favourites are:
*Emolga (very cute, I like its typing, the colour yellow and it is good in battle even though it is not the strongest) *Torchic (I have loved chickens always) *Yanmega (I found a shiny Yanma it turned into a great team member in Diamond even though it didn't have the best nature and I became attached to it) *Staraptor (for the reasons Rain and Hoopa gave, also BIRBs rule OK) *Volcarona (great design, I raised one competitively and it became a very valuable member of my team with Quiver Dance) *Tyrantrum (I also like it for its design but have sadly never raised one) *Togekiss (it is a lovely Pokémon that is also great competitively)
Yeah, I put an Assault Vest on him to help take Special hits, but he still gets clobbered.
Butterfree - I love this little guy, but sadly he seems forgotten. His Quiver Dance raise Special Attack, Speed, and Special Defense and he can use Sleep Spore and Stun Spore. Moves like Bug Buzz and Psychic keep him strong. He is very underrated.
Nidoking - I love this guy! He can be an attacker and a special attacker and his movepool is deadly. Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Surf provides great coverage. Poison typing makes him stick out now as a Fairy slayer. Besides, his design is just awesome, even if he looks like a purple Rhydon.
I really have wanted to use Gorluck for a while. He and Exadrill are the only UnovaPokemon I havent used yet which I really want to use ^^
She was based on Yuki Onna, right? That reminds me,Pokemon has many creatures based on mythology. Not only the legendaries (like Ho-Oh being based on a phoenix or Hoopa being based on a djinn) but the regular pokemon too. Heck if I remember correctly the Sinnoh starters are based on chinese mythology (this is what I think since Infernape kinda reminds me of Sun Wukong and wasnt there some kind of turtle that carries the world around ala Torterra. Not sure about Empoleon tho)
But if we continue with the main topic what about Crobat? I personally found him to be pretty useful thanks to that high speed
Yeah, Torterra and Infernape both had those inspirations. Other series like Digimon and Yugioh did it too. Froslass and other ghost types are usually based on demons or ghosts in lore. We love our lore on this forum.
Crobat is one of my favorite poison types and can fly me around, which is always a plus.
