Oh! About the final boss theme, i think this would work better: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fihc2ONQ5v0 Play a darker "Bounding through time" on this style with Antasma shouting at the beggining "T-t-t-Time Over!!" (nod to the time overs of the timed Mario platformers) and it will fit for "the end of time".
Time over scared me too and considering he would pull this off in a turn based game, would only add to the scary feel.
Antasma really need to have more nightmare fuel moments.
Also idk why i think about that now but you know about sticker star, i'll admit i first expected the sticker crown Bowser wear to turn into a Master Crown type and twist Bowser into an empty shell form.
The little jingle that played scared me too and then the fast music.
If there is one villain who needed more nightmare fuel moments, it is Antasma. Even the Shadow Queen had the moment where she killed the audience and blew up Grodus. She was only on screen for a short time too.
You had way too much hope for Sticker Star then. They just made it a generic crown.
The game over screen from Donkey Kong Country had me terrified the most.
Dark Matter is way scarier than Dracula. He is just too disturbing along with Zero.
I hope Miyamoto does not find our forum and Kirby RPG!
I admit to high hopes to. I wanted Paper Mario 3DS for years before I even had the system. I saw the old screens of partners and locations and wanted that.
Even after i grew up, this game over still scare me (the game boy color version is even scarier)
Depend on the Dracula version, some of them can get pretty creepy but yeah Dark matter would work (i could imagine Antasma raising his cape and creepy shadowy eyes with spiral irises emerging and him having some creepy relations with vim/blood)
We must be careful, specialy that he seem to have recently learned english...or was it a translator ?
Apparently the game was gonna be like TTYD but then Miyamoto stepped in and we got this :/
For fun here the characters featured in the japanese site of the Year of Luigi: www.nintendo.co.jp/luigi/
Nabbit, some NSMBU ennemies, The news viruses, Polterpup, Starlow, Dreambert's pillow, Antasma.
Idk but it seem at least the japanese aknowledge those characters as the year of luigi (weither it will grant them higher chances of reapearing is up to them)

The game was supposed to be like TTYD? A game like one of the greatest of all time would have been perfect.
I'm actually very happy to see these characters getting some love and acknowledgement. I'm now even more positive that we will see them again, in some way.
Indeed but Miyamoto said "It's the same so it sucks" and forced them to change.
I think we will see, it's too soon to say if they will appear (it's still a few months and other spin-offs had already probably completed their roster by the time the YOL games came out).
I have still a slight hope of seeing Antasma as a DLC for Mario Golf (specially if they indeed intended at first to make this game a part of the Year of Luigi)
The same would have been better than what we got. It was not even the same based on the screens, he was just being a drama queen. I would have taken a portable Thousand-Year Door over Sticker Star probably.
We will definitely see Dark Moon characters again, though. We can bank on that. I agree with the others. Too soon, but I'm more positive now.
Why would Mario Golf be a Year of Luigi title? I do not think Antasma will be included there. We can hope.
Dark moon characters will definitely appear, now the real question would be if they consider DT characters as Year of Luigi characters or RPG, the fact that Antasma, Starlow and Dreambert's pillow are there may imply that Nintendo may consider those 3 as "Year of Luigi" characters rather than RPG and thus would actually be worth of showing up in other games.
IIRC there was supposed to be a Year of Luigi mode in it but as the game got delayed they probably removed it.
No what i said is that, there was an intended Year of Luigi mode/Tournament but it never came to fruiton.
I'd love it if they do consider Antasma as Year of Luigi characters rather than a RPG one, through i fear they may made him more generic, not that it matter, he is already pretty generic when you think about it which is why i hope they would expand him from generic homage to other RPG villains to an unique memorable villain.
Well, sorry it never happened. I do not plan on buying Mario Golf. Mario Tennis for the 3DS was just okay, so I think I'll steer clear of the sport games for a while.
The thing that gets me is that half of the cast in the games now are generic. Shy Guy, Koopa, Lakitu, all generic enemies. At least RPG guys have some character.
Considering they rely on outdated things like Club Nintendo, i may argue they simply don't know how to know the fans oppinions and stopped caring (thanksfully Alpha Dream & HAL laboratory seems actually aware)
Retro takes good notes too, as they added a lot to the 3DS version of Donkey Kong Country Returns and they improved so much in Tropical Freeze. Basically, outside companies still do good work. Rare used to be that way too. Nintendo always needed those companies to filter them and their ideas.
I'm happy to learn that the guys who made my favorite games did not make Sticker Star.
Well, if Miyamoto thought that SPM's story was hated maybe he disbanded the team and decided to start fresh. I'm just glad that Mario and Luigi still have the same team.
I have heard Miyamoto was unhappy about Bowser's treatement in SPM, while it may explain the recent overexposure, i'm not sure if he also hated other parts as well.
Bowser was treated way worse in Thousand-Year Door. He was powerful and important in SPM. Oh Miyamoto logic. Even Bowser's Inside Story and Mario RPG have him as an ally who bumbles around. He must have used this as a scapegoat excuse because he truly dislikes stories.
I even remember hearing that he did not want Thousand-Year Door until he saw how many characters could appear on screen at once(like at the start with all the X-Nauts)so he has disliked this series for a while.
