This and Bowser's Inside Story are my favorites in the M&L series (I bet you can guess why). But Fawful actually wasn't what originally made me like this game. I just loved the overall atmosphere of traveling to another kingdom in peril, and the cutscenes were hilarious. It was my first Mario & Luigi game; one of the reasons Fawful is my favorite character is because he returned as a throwback to Superstar Saga in PIT and especially in BIS.
I was glad to see Popple and other Beanish back in Dream Team too. It was funny how Bowser could never catch a break in SS; he tried to help Mario, and ended up losing his memory, only to be possessed right after remembering it, then when he woke up at the end his castle blew up, lol. The Beanbean Kingdom was one of my favorite areas in the Mario universe. What did you like about Superstar Saga?
What did I like about Superstar Saga? The gameplay, the plot, the music, etc. It was an all-around fun game, but I used to suck badly at it. I brought a used copy of the game back in January of 2008, and it was only a few months ago that I managed to beat it (mainly because I was stuck on Joke's End for quite some time). One thing I didn't like about this game is how the Koopalings, for some reason, were never given a single line of dialogue. Other than that, Superstar Saga was an all-around fun game.

Yeah, I've noticed that, too. Come to think of it, this may have very been what caused all these whiny Bowser fanboys to start nitpicking over anything that happened in the RPGs that didn't involve him being the main villain.

This is my least favorite Mario RPG(Well, Sticker Star is, but who counts that anymore!). That being said, I still loved the game, since all Mario RPGs are such high-quality titles.
I loved Fawful, of course! This game is so funny because of him. His quotes are legendary.
I also loved that the Koopalings appeared as bosses! Lemmy is my favorite, see I loved seeing him again! I agree that they should have been given dialogue, but oh well.

This was my least favorite, yet it had one thing that was better than the rest- The Music!! I could not get enough of the well picked music from this game.

DT Bowser was too OOC for me, i like when he is a badass, large ham and funny character like in BIS (and to a lesser extend SMG2), not some ultra serious paranoid villain which get everything handed to him on a gold plate.

This is why i prefer Antasma in this game, the guy actually did most of the things in the game and he worked hard to become a credible threat only to get shitted over at the end.
At least Fawful started to realize he was being used, so his fans were able to be hopeful that he would come back in later games based off what he said before his last battle, but Antasma was just plain betrayed and embarrassed. He did not get a huge speech or anything.
I have only played it a bit but it was fun. Wacky little game. Also there is Starfy cameo yaay : D. And beanbeankingdom is kinda cool wacky place. Still probably one of the weaker ones

I liked switching the bros' positions. Having Luigi in front was nice, and I loved that the bros. moves were affected by who was in front/back. This may be a subtle thing for some people, but I loved it. I can't understand why they didn't bring this feature back.

Yet, anyways. Still hoping for M&L RPG5!
The DS has both Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story, so I'm hoping that the 3DS will have at least two games as well. Maybe one at the very end of its lifespan.

Yeah, I really hope that as well. I can see such great things coming from it!
It is almost a guarantee. I hope we get more cameos from this game in it. Popple returning was great, but I hope for a few more. Giant battles will most likely return, as they are becoming a staple of the series.

I sure hope they do! I love the giant battles! They feel like interactive.....movies, which I feel is a nice little diversion from just jumping on enemies, smashing them with mallets, and using special attacks. It makes me feel like a boss! Plus, you usually get good rewards from the Giant battles, and you don'e even really have to do that much. In my opinion, anyways. I've heard some people complaining about them being difficult. I've never thought of it in that manner, but everyone is different!
I hate the fact that they are interactive movies. lol That is my main complaint. However, I do not find them hard. I did at first in Bowser's Inside Story, mostly the Fawful Express. I did like them in Dream Team, but only a couple. Basically, it is hit or miss for me. They are a work in progress though, so I'm sure they will become more interesting. I would not notice if they were dropped though.
Lets see, I liked the setting, the humour, the atmosphere and it was just all around fun to play. Fawful didn't make as much an impact on me as he did everyone else but he's still entertaining.
Back in the day I didn't mind how Bowser was treated in the game since it was less him being incompetent and more just being a victim of a series of events to which he had no control over. (though I still say Fawful knocking him out in one shot was absolute BS)
Really it was Super Paper Mario that got me tired of the whole inept Bowser thing since in that game he was borderline too dumb to tie his shoes if he were to ever wear any.

At least he beat some baddies in Super Paper Mario, so was useful. Well, potentially. Unless you just bring him out to lose to Mustard of Doom or something.
Thousand-Year Door was my favorite version of Bowser, and Bowser's Inside Story.
Dream Team was okay, but I did not care too much for Paper Mario's version of him.
Bowser's Inside Story was best though. He got stuff done! Fought bosses that only he could beat, saved his minions, saved the whole Kingdom, and started to repair his castle!
