Simple, I don't like its story and I find its gameplay rather dull. Sticker star ain't all that great but I can at least get some enjoyment fighting the enemies and running around the environments, plus sure sticker star had no real story in it beyond token things here and there but I'd rather play a game with no story than a game with a story I don't like.
I liked the quicker gameplay of Super Paper Mario because I could just destroy everything to get to the story, which allows me to play the game over and over for the story, without getting bogged down by battles. I can see how this would be bad if you hated the story, though.
Sticker Star was fun recently to me because I filled my whole inventory with Think Stickers and it is extremely fun to create combos with those. I love the water gun and soda can! ^_^
Ugh, this is a tough question. Here's my List: 1st: Paper Mario 2nd: Super Mario RPG 3rd: Paper Mario TTYD 4th: Bowser's Inside Story 5th: Partners in Time/ Dream Team 6th: Superstar Saga 7th: Super Paper Mario 8th: Sticker Star
Paper Mario first because it was probably the most original.
Super Mario RPG because of nostalgia.
Paper Mario TTYD because it was the funnest
Bowser's Inside Story because it had Giant Bosses and X Bosses and FAWFUL
Partners in Time because of the Shroobs and babies
Dream Team because of the recreated Giant bosses and the outstanding sprites
Superstar Saga because it was the first Mario and Luigi, and it had the beanish
Below are the ones I actually hate in someway:
Super Paper Mario because of a good storyline and characters but it felt nothing like Paper Mario and wasn't an RPG
Sticker Star because like Super Paper Mario, felt nothing like Paper Mario, but this one was cool how you got stickers. For some reason I like the genericness of it... but it introduced no new characters.
I need to do this but I havent played all the games hahaha
Anyways here we go in a chronological order:
Smrpg:
The first game in the Mario rpg franchise and because of that it has importance as a Mario RPG. The quirkiest SNES RPG alongside Earthbound , Super Mario RPGis a wacky rpg that pokes fun both at Mario games and RPGs in general. it was the forst game in which Mario and Bowser formed an alliance (something i love since I love enemy mine trope) and the first game since SMB 2 in which Peach was more than an useless damsel. For a game in its time the graphics look good and the characters are wacky and likeable. While most of the sucsessors are better than it but since it was the first one it deserves its cult status. Without it we wouldnt have the others Also ut had the best optional boss.
Score: 8/10
Paper Mario
Now this is a game I am tje least familar with. Thats the simple reason its my least favorite (excluding sticker star). Its fun and charming in its own right, but its sucsessor surprassess it in every way imaginable
Mario & Luigi Superstarsaga
Mario and Luigi superstarsaga is a wacky game starring mario bros. The first RPG with Luigi as a playable character and a spiritual succsessor both to SMRPG as well as Alphadreams previous (japan only) GBA RPG Tomato Adventure, Mario and Luigi is a game in which the bros adventure in the wacky beanbean kingdomWhile I dont worship this game as much as everybody else I do see the charm. This wacky and quirky game was the first in the wacky franchise by Alphadream. The battlesystem is fun,the humor ia fun and it was the firdt Mario rpg not set in mushroom kingdom. A thing this game gets is the introducion of the fanfavorite Fawful. I may have a personal bias for this game because of the Starfy reference so who am i to judge
Score: 8/10
Papet mario ttyd
Paper Mario The Thousand year door is the sequel of Paer Mario and often seen as the magnum opus of Mario RPGS. It took everything the original one and made it much better. With a solid battle system, quirky humor, solid story and great chapters, Paper Mario TTYD is a must play for any Nintendo and RPG fan. Sadly I havent played this masterpiece, which is why it isnt number one
Score: 9/10
Mario and Luigi partners in time
The sequel of Superstarsaga,Partners in time has the bros adventuring with their baby selves. The game is signidicantily darker than SSS , yet it has fun athmosphere. I think my problem is thst the game is too short and linear. Other than that, its good altho a bit weaker entry
Score: 7/10
Super Paper Mario
This game. This game. Its good. Now let me tell you a thing, if the story wasnt that good I probably wouldnt like it as much but the story is great. Granted the game is different and the too anime plot may throw people off but I think the game is tailormade for me. Its weird, quirky, fun and amazing. Its just the best. I understand if it iant the cup od your tea but its definitely the cup of my tea. (I have only played the game by my friend but I have watched both walkthro and Chuggaconroys letsplay). Its so good Alsodimentioisthebestmariorpgvillainwedontargueaboutthisokay.good.good

Mario and Luigi Bowsers inside story
This is my first mario rpg. So really biased What can i say. This game is almpst perfect. Humor is spot on. Bowser has his best role so far. Fawful is hilarious. The gameplay is so much fun and has great audiovisulas for a ds rpg. The only complaints are giant battles and minigames. But other than that its 10/10 bowsers would play again
Score: 9 1/2 /10
Paper mario : Stickerstar
Its meh. Nothing else to say
Score: 5/10 ...idk...its just ...meh...
Mario and Luigi dream team
I was. Really hyped at this game. And what can i say. Is it good? Yes. Is it flawed? Definitely. But its stll a good solid entry in Mario rpgs and the closest thing we have for a good 3ds Mario rpg. The battles are fun, audiovisual is good, tons of cameos and references. The story was pretty good, with some twists. I have three big complaints which affect my opinion of the games
- the game is jarring at points
- i am beating a dead horse but Antasma was wastef potential. We could have had a Fawful or Dimentio level villain but instead just ...meh. The only memorable things about him are his implied tragedy (bby nooooo...), his AMAZINGLY FUN battle (and amazing battle theme too) and the fact he reminds me a bit of Ogura from the stafy franchise.
- On subject of Tas The Bowser twist was slopply written. It could have been good but it was just blatant fanservice
- giant battle gyro controls. Never again. They made the battles p a i n
Score: 8/10 (would be 9/10 if cdrtain things didnt happen)
Check his Youtube channel. He made the leak video. Falcon Boy informed me of it just a little while ago and I went to see myself. Indeed, he made it. He started the whole thing, I imagine.
Well, he liked to play around with stuff like that. He loves the RPGS so it may have been an outlet for some wishful thinking. I want it to happen. We got OOT and MM remakes so I want a PM and Thousand-Year Door 3DS version.
True, that Pokemon game finally came to all those fans who waited and hoped for years to get it. Same with the Zelda fans who wanted MM the minute OOT 3D was released.
Starfy might have a shot. We also got a port of DKC Returns so we know they show some love to platformers. Kirby 64 would have been great, but it already appeared on the anniversary collection. Starfy need something like that now.
3DS is perfect system for stuff like this since it can reach new fans while connecting again with the older fanbase. So many played MM for the first time because of the 3DS and games like Paper Mario originally released at a horrible time for the N64 so would merit a second chance on the 3DS.
