I suck at that stuff. I want unique moves, but not those that involve such precise controls. They use tutorials to make the game easier to pick up and play, but then use gyro. It makes no sense.

I think they have potential be awesome and fun, but there is always this gimmick that seems to weigh them down. It reminds me of that final-boss spaceship minigame in Partners in Time, which my sister absolutely despises.
I dislike the Fawful Express, but Super Peach's Castle was awesome. I want more of those battles, but they all rely on to many gimmicks like getting the Tower of Yik into the water, or countering a certain move for an opening.

Exactly. They're more like Mario Party minigames, and the worst thing is, I believe no amount of grinding will help mitigate the mistakes you'll most likely do in those battles. That's really bad. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they like Fawful Express. I've also heard bad things about Zeekeeper.
The healing cooldown in the Giant Luigi fight makes absolutely no sense. Who gets tired out after tossing a bunch of mushrooms!? They could've made it so Mario has to grow them or something, but not get tired.
Hmm, I did not know too many people hated Zeekeeper. Fawful Express is the only battle that seems to wall me whenever I play BIS. Sometimes I do great, but many times I end up trying to blow into the mic and scribble at my screen just to stay somewhat in the battle.
True, it makes no sense.
I never thought about comparing them to Mario Party mini-games, but I can see the connection.
I hope we get more optional tutorials like in the Paper Mario games instead of forced tutorials found in Mario and Luigi.

I believe the first Mario and Luigi actually let you skip some parts of tutorials (the first Fawful fight in Superstar Saga comes to mind), but they still kinda nag you as if you're some toddler or something. They should just do what Kirby Superstar does, where they do prompt you with a tutorial, but you can refuse it, and they'll let you go.
Exactly, and by the time we got to BIS and DT they completely bogged the games down with tutorials.
Any kid can figure this stuff out. We did on the SNES back in the day, so I think kids can now. Hopefully they listen to the fans and cut back on them. DT was long as heck even without the constant tutorials messing up the pace of the game.

Kids aren't stupid either. Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team aren't giving kids enough credits. I'm sure kids don't like the constant nagging the two games have. I mean, kids handled Final Fantasy, right? And that game was more complex than Mario & Luigi. In fact, the only thing in Mario & Luigi I didn't like when I was a kid were Bros. Attacks.

Maybe there is a segment of kids out there that just want tutorials because their chaotic households lack structure and therefore they seek out order in gaming where they can safely sequester themselves away from the harsh realities of life.

As far as bosses, I would love to see the Goomba King. However, thats just a pipe dream. I'd be content with bosses pulled from 64, Sunshine, New Super Mario Bros, Galaxy, and 3D World.
oh reality, it's not for me and it makes me laugh oh, fantasy world and disney girls i'm coming back

I just wish it could not only Paper Mario and Mario&Luigi being teammates, I wish new teammates come over or atleast, have a mix between Papre Mario and Mario&Luigi backgrounds including it enemies...not that in certain areas it will be for Paper Mario and others for MARIO&lUIGI
It is sad to think that the last Mario RPG to have proper partners was Thousand-Year Door.
Yeah, some partners frm Paper Mario were neat...as Bombette and Kooper...even Parakarry...and in TTYD was Koops and the Bomb dude [Poor guy...Im saying this because his wife...]

I have very little hope that the next Paper Mario game is going to truly go back to its roots, nor do I have any kind of faith in Paper Jam. Ever since Sticker Star, there's just been one disappointment after another in the RPG series, that I've pretty much given up on it at this point.
Sticker Star being the least liked Paper Mario game isn't really saying much, considering the series' GameRankings score has been gradually declining from the beginning.

Yeah but you'll expect after the backslash that Nintendo would think a bit and try to reduce it or at least try to improve the elements that peoples haven't liked.
Instead they just shove the Sticker Star elements deeper into the fans's throats while almost pretending that the 3 previous games never existed.
I'am also annoyed at the NSMB-ification, i kinda liked when the mario subseries had their own unique style and elements, now it seems that every mario games must abide to a NSMB standard.
Meh, i haven't still see much of the M&L side but so far, it look like a NSMB game slapped with a barebone DT engine and Sticker Star influence.
The only positive thing so far i can say is that Paper Bowser is speaking again which isn't saying much :/
